Carpenter profession

One thing that drives me nuts is the lack of storage.  It seems like every day I have to go through our faction base and get rid of a bunch of stuff that we need - but not as badly as some others.
Yes, I know you can store stuff on the ground, but I'm mainly talking about resources and whatnot.
Perhaps add Lockers and Wooden crates to the crafting menu and make it so when you drop it, its there forever - or possibly to where if you use a sledgehammer on it then it vanishes.
You could also do this through profession - Perhaps a  Carpenter profession.
Instance for crafting -
Profession 1 *Requirements - 60 Science - 75 Repair
Wooden Shelf - 12 wood - 4 metal parts - 1 good metal part - 2 brahmin shit **Wood for well.. the wood, metal parts for nails, and brahmin shit for glue**
Wooden Crate - 8 wood - 6 metal parts - 4 brahmin shit **Same as above**
Profession 2 - 80 Science - 90 Repair
Locker - 5 metal parts - 4 good metal parts - 2 hq alloys - Tool
Extended Locker *Has a higher weight limit* 3 metal parts - 2 good metal parts - 1 hq alloys - tool - locker *In inventory*
Profession 3 - 90 Science - 125 Repair
Gun Locker *Like the ones in the tents outside Mariposa* 12 metal parts - 7 good metal parts - 4 hq alloys - Tool

I like this every one needs more storeage. Am fine with this as long as anyone can destroy the made stuff so we don't have assholes making tons of them and putting them all over ncr or any city.

If someone puts them all over NCR, you can likely pick them up again, from what i understand of the boxes, if they're moveable than they can be picked up again as well.

At least i think so, based on the screenshots of a work bench in the middle of NCR a few wipes ago.

Yeah, using a skill on them was what I was thinking when I wrote that.
Just incase a player put them in the wrong area or - like you said - a player puts a bunch down in a town or city or creates walls using them.

make them a (dead) lootable npc that never despawns! unable to lock em then, but its one way.
Dunno how it works with weight this way, could mean this would be a bottomless pit.

I think it might work. In some ancient era even workbenches were movable through some bug.
