Ok, so every BG build I see, they have LK6 to get Bonus Ranged Damage, which is 4+dmg (which is a lot on 30 bullet burst)

But what about

ST 7
PE 6
EN 8
CH 3 (I want to be able to bring people and talk with all traders with out taking mentats / beer)
IN 6
AG 9(+1)
LK 1

2 action boys and bonus rate of fire  (Only taking one life giver with 8EN my HP won't be so low) I'd be able to do 2 bursts

opinions?

I use real time most of the time, one other though would be 10EN and 7(+1)AG so I'd only need to wait for 2AP to recharge, but would have more HP

197 hp and 2 burst without BRD isnt so good ... 2 burst arent always 100% to kill everyone

Remember that on this server BG means: shit*. 2 BG bursts from avanger minigun(on the middle range) are less powerfull than avarage crit from plasma rifle against brotherhood combat armor.

The title should be, Dillema about BG: Do it or not to do it?

And of course your build is shit to. BG without BRD?? Take finesse.

And what? Avanger got 35 and still sux. I know how it worked few months ago and i know how it works nowadays. And after AP nerf it S U X.
There was a time when Avanger had 40 range and AP worked properly. But now we got SG/EW era.



cannotspace if u want to play as a big gunner you would better make rocket launcher critical build. AP rockets works fine. But for how long

I went to Hinkley with my mate, his P90 did about the same damage as my minigun and I had 2x brd (I think he had aswell) BG are severly underpowered now, if it werent for those vs encounters they would be hard to get. While SG are easy to get and are just as deadly and have lower requirements.

i get owned with p90, 2xburst and 2xbrd evry time by a build similar to the above one (only dif is more hp because he has 1ch and got mor en for that)  with minigun 2xburst and NO BRD at hinkley! so no the build isnt bad. the problem with p90 is its range, it might do more damge at 1hex but on mid range minigun just dominates.

100-175 dmg burst FROM 1 HEX. Im not a novice in playing big gunner( i got 4 big gunner chars logged out in Hinkley and none of them got less kills than 800) but seriously its not so easy to get that close in Hinkley and when u fight for town controll its immposible. But this is the only way to kill someone by minigun.

In normal PvP yes, Avenger is better than P90 but not much

I never seen a 100 dmg burst on BA without critical/point blank burst since loooong time... Around 70-80 dmg most of time. Where plasma do 60-250 with bonuses like blind ennemy, KO, KD...

Second, many times there are criticals lower than how you're saying 60 dmg. 250 dmg? When? I sometimes score a 200, and that's RARE.

Simple math and logic will show you that 80% crit chance (and 2 shot) is far better than 21%. I don't know if you are jinxed or just blind, but yeah, that's a lot of critical hit. And 60 is basic damage, you often do more than this, and yeah, already have many time 220-250 crit. 10 EN sonewall build? It's only 50% to avoid KO, a bit of luck and is he is KO, he is basically dead. Blinding happen often too, and now, try to shoot while blinded... And good luck for hitting only one bullet.

Of course its far better, in theory, but look at these critical burst builds: they have a good basic damage(a burst can hurt, and if it's 1hex you are mostly dead), and if they score a critical(16-21 chance is pretty often as i was fighting them), they own.

And 60 is basic damage, you often do more than this, and yeah, already have many time 220-250 crit.

I guess that depends on personal luck.

Exactly. Busters don't need "a bit of luck", they just need to play with skill - when to approach the enemy, when to hide, where to move etc.
And when I don't score a critical 3 times in a row when trying to eyeshot someone, and the fourth shot is a miss, I can get pissed.

You just need to get closer, and that's not a problem for me or most of my enemies...
