so new players need to make new chars when they get radiated?

Solution is easy man. Make tent, tons of alts. buy car and base and u are ok.

Oh, yeah, how stupid of me. Why didn't I think of that? And let me guess... to make 1000 caps per hour I only need a bank account, 10mln caps on in?

That's pretty much the worst case scenario. You CAN eventually get the caps to pay a doctor by lifting boxes. Do the quest, hide the money, die, repeat. Takes time but it's gonna take a damn effort to put yourself in such state that at >level ten you have no tent, no money, no bank account but somehow have bigass radiation. Suffice to say if someone is at such state, he has fucked himself up.
