Special Encounter - Memory modules
« on: November 25, 2010, 02:40:23 pm »

Right now we have only 3 special encouner, there could be another one with something like demolished caravan in which the meteroite hit*. This Special Encounter would be avaible only to all players, however the Explorer Perk will increase chances to find modules.

What can be find inside:
Some random rare items* or one of the following modules:
+1 Charisma
+1 Intelligence
+1 Perception
+1 Strength

The modules could be installed into ACE, in the Brotherhood's bunker in San Francisco or somewhere in BoS bunker (one of the terminals on 2nd floor).
Doing so will allow players to use ACE to permanently increase one of the stats by one.

Player will be allowed to encounter it only once.

rare items = Bozar, Turbo Plasma Rifle, Bridgekeeper`s Robe, Dyncacords, Plasma Torch, etc

*ill split modules in to two simillar maps, first with demolished BoS caravan and 2nd with demolished Enclave caravan.

Ugh, another possibility to make alt. Treasure Hunter Alt...

I think I will say "no" for those modules. It will just make possibility o supah-powerbuilds.

Yeah, those are ok, I guess.  I think they are arleady rare, coz I traveled alot around map and never spotted any special enco (Once I spotted some small hut at the desert, but didnt find anything there...). But still, those encounters should be realy realy realy... (etc) ... really rare.

Each module will be useable only once per alt, like it is in this Small Guns Skill quest.
One time bonus wont help a lot in making super PB, you can already make it with drugs.

If they were as rare as current special encounters and non-luck dependant, they would provide some additional excitement to the gaming world. Even better would be if these modules just couldn't be transferred to other characters.

You can't imagine how much would 4 free SPECIAL be for a powerbuild ;)

Alts will be created for each other chip :)

1. Modules wont rise players EN,AG or LK - main combat stats.
2. To find this special encounter you will need to have Explorer Perk (available on lvl 9)
3. There is "or" function in suggestion (rare items "or" one of the modules)

Special Encounters findable via special perks - no way. :)
It has to be totally random without any possibility of highering the chance to find it.

Following the Wiki:
Explorer perk - The mark of the Explorer is to search out new and interesting locations. With this Perk, you have a greater chance of finding special places and people.

It's just some leftover text from FO1/2.
