Overcharged SEC and MFC

Well you got them in new vegas, and EW in this game they certanly suck (and ye, some of you are going to say that one or two EWs arent "that bad" but when you have to rely on criticals and bypass for something to actually do over a single digit damage you know theres something wrong). besides some would argue that they are good to kill critters, but when you encounter a rider with a metal armor you just want to run, run the fuck away as far as you can because either it eventually kills you or you spend a shitload of batteries trying to kill him/her with a laser pistol when you could do the job twice as fast with a nearly broken mauser.
They would add a bonus to damage and AP, dont know if this has already been suggested, it think it hasnt, at least i couldn find it.

And what im suggesting is not a new fire mode, its simply a new type of ammo that would release more energy with each shot (altough a bit unstable incresing deterioration maybe).

Because when you see how crappy they are here all you can think off is: "now i know how a single tribal could own the full force of the enclave... They where wielding the most technologically advanced energy weapons in the world and he was wearing a metal door on his chest"

HEY! Don't talk shit about tribals!

Ps. i support the idea of overcharging batteries. overcharged could reduce targets DT and DER for EW(instead of increasing damage, coz that would result in critical shot instant kills every critical from plasma/laser)

This should also accellerate deterioration of the weapon as well as increasing the chance of critical failure.

Also: maybe carry a cheap SMG as a backup weapon.
Or grenades.

i like this idea, may me making it a new fire mode for EW. in this case i think it should consume 1 additional AP, more ammo , but add more range and penetration.

This should also accellerate deterioration of the weapon as well as increasing the chance of critical failure.

i was thinking on the same drawback.

yet everyone seems to agree that EW are lacking...
I dont. Apart from plasma rifle, EWs are solid weapons to use, even with high DR/DT of armors.

But yeah, more possibilities, more fun

Have Deathclaws been given special ressistances?

I recall the Gatling Laser being instakill on them.

I see nothing wrong with this. NV has plenty of cool things we can use and this is just one of them. EW have no alternate ammo, and this would make up for that a little. Increased deterioration seems like a fair trade off. So what would be the requirements for crafting? Just extra materials?

And a special workbench and special parts obtainable only via quest (or special place, like glow) !

Let's balance out the existing weapons and ammo for it first, then one can talk about new ammo types.

let's create EW overcharge ability(some sort of Burst)taht will consume all(or some)ammo from the weapon
