What is the formula for Action Points recovery rate?

All of your AP's are respawinig within 5 seconds. So the more you have them, the more of them respawn in given unit of time.

No, it's not possible, unless special

It's because AP dots don't light up evenly in time. Sometimes you get 2 at once, sometimes there's a pause. This sets you off when you're counting in your mind.
I compared two chars, 5 AP and 10 AP, with a clock in my hand and indeed it's about 5 seconds for full recovery in both cases.

I have 2 AG, my brother 10 AG. I regenerate my 6ap while he regenerates his 10ap in same amount of time 5sek.

I figured out the problem, it doesn't add AP in a smooth progression, it adds it in 1's and 2's over the 5 seconds. When I fight in realtime if I continually attack I get 1 ap per second but if I wait 2 seconds without doing any actions I get 3 ap.
