Wasteland colonization- Broken Hills
« on: November 02, 2010, 02:12:05 pm »

One day in Broken Hills, Marcus's house. He, leader of Broken Hills and his thrusted advisor- geologist that discovered uranium vein are disscusing about town's problems
-Ghouls from Gecko power plant want more ore - said an elder man
-Good, but we are at our limits. We need more miners.- Marcus answered
-So what about wasteland adventurers? If we only will give them place to live they will for sure work for us.
-But there is still gangs control problem- they only allow to use mine for our miners and for their gang. Furthermore every other day city is controlled by another gang.
-Maybe we will negotiate with the strongest one?
-Mhmm, that's an idea, when can we start?
-This moment is ideal, so maybe 3rd November at 6 pm (+1 GMT)
Marcus took his glass of beer
-For new Broken Hills!

That is how started story of new era of this mining city. How will it end? Time will show

(Translation from dialog for people that want to live in BH, BHH with Rogues help will give for free 10 brahmin skins for free per person - to make tent near BH, threat this as start of civilising broken hills, any player POSITIVE initiative are welcome. This small event will be on 3rd of November  at 6 pm +1 GMT)

But the wastelanders want to keep all the uranium to themselves, not to donate it to Gecko. And even if they didn't for sure as hell they won't work in a mine just because they could "live" in broken hills. We live in our tents just fine already  :-\

Name the price.
Actually giving price at this moment is problem, because if mine will be safe, more people will come to mine. More uranium=less valuable.

Living in BH has its advantages:
You can trade in peace, without too big risk
You can join to BH army (in future)
Events

OH I forgot- I will with some gang's help making auctions in BH- without risking of losing item.

That is a great idea.
Why not let keep miners half, or two third of stuff they mine for themself? The rest hast to be given away as some kind of tax and protection fee.
Controlls can be made by "stealing". Ban those wastelanders from BH if caught.

Actually it is impossible to do, but if players will sell some uranium or other ore for less price they can expect security, especially good, because caps are not so common even in npcs.

I was thinking about price like 500 caps for 5 ores, but I need to consult it with BHH and Rogues

OR

Weekly status of uranium ore
