Iron Thief Build

My sneak-thief build turned out to be too unreliable, so I decided to go in a different direction and make a thief that could withstand as much punishment as humanly possible and still manage to crawl across the zone line:
SPECIAL
5 ST
1 PE
10 EN
3 CH
7 IN
10 AG
6 LK
Traits
Bruiser
Jinxed
Skills
Steal
First Aid
Lockpick (For Master Thief perk)
Perks
(in order of taken)
Toughness (x2)
Dodger
Lifegiver
Pickpocket
Harmless
Master Thief
This results in a character with 300% Stealing, 125% First Aid, 220 HP, 15 Natural AC, and 10 damage resistance. All this coupled with Jinxed and metal armor (or better) should, I hope, make a pickpocket that is hilariously unkillable. I've never made a character like this, and I'm still somewhat unfamiliar with the mechanics of this game, so I'd like to opinion of anyone who has perhaps made something similar or whatever.

You may take Small Frame instead of Jinxed and make 6 ST and take stonewall perk, so angry snipers won't knock you down with 10 EN and will knock you out 2 times less often. Or just remove 1 point from... something.. for example, why do you need 3 CH? 1 CH is enough, so you can make 1 CH, 6 ST and 8 IN. Stonewall take instead of Dodger. Or 1 point from CH, so you'll have 2 CH, buy beer at bar, drink it, and you'll have 3 CH, if you really need this, but I still can't understand why someone need more than 1 CH, if he isn't slaver or taxi.
Also make fun/wierd name for thief. So if guards will say it, someone may laught or not understand what he is talking about.

Thanks, I can't believe I overlooked stonewall.
Edit: I chose 3 CH purely for convenience, and it was one of the stats I was really indecisive about. But yeah, you're right, I'll be better off with 1.

It'll be a ... REAL bitch to lvl up though, you need some PE to see where the people trying to kill you are, and 3 ch for convience i took out of Agility since you gotta wait 30 seconds between each attempted steal anyways.

For easy leveling, use RR's build with some changes:
- tag SG instead of doc
- reduce PE by 3 and put 1 point in ST and 2 in IN
- take 2 points from CH or EN and put those in AG
Downside:
Not enough AG for pickpocket perk.
If you want that, lower EN to get AG to 8.
With this build you should be able to get FA up to 100, SG to 150, steal to 300 (assuming you pick your perks wisely), lockpick high enough for the necessary perks and outdoorsman to 100. With SG tagged and with 1 toughness and stonewall, you can level quite easily on (mutated) molerats if you put points in SG first.
My thief build uses 10 IN and had SG tagged and it leveled easily.
Be sure to go to the gunrunners to get the +15 SG to compensate the -10 of Good Natured..

Must be interesting to play thief if you can't use the guns you steal.

Based on evidence collected from various sources by trustworthy attendees it is undisputed veritability that the land ravaged by atomic warfare which caused extreme change of the ecosystem and environmental hazards can be considered unpleasant, rugged and unforgiving.

Thief builds are one of the builds offering the most fun when interacting with other players.
Name calling, false accusations, getting shot at, especially when still being protected, etc.
What's also fun is stealing from thieves, especially at the moment they are stealing themselves.
People challenging you to steal from them who walk away when you approach.
Impatient people using steal on you at the trader to scare you off. You than use it on them where they expect you you try to scare them off in return ...
Etc.
