Buyable "reset" of skills and perks.
« on: January 14, 2010, 11:06:03 pm »

There should be a way to reroll your character for a set amount of caps. It's easy to pick a broken perk or invest skill points into something that turns out to work differently than you had thought, so to speed up the testing time and avoid people abandoning characters to make new ones this could be implemented.

I agree. Atleast for the duration of the beta testing, since it prevents making new chars (alts) when you're able to reroll without an already existing character.

Too easily

Much more it would be better for game introduction of bought level, we will tell for 1 000 000 caps(naturally at normal economy) or 10 000 alloys or 3000 killing centaur or....and many and many and simply hard

Well, I have to support Roachor.
At first we're here for beta testing. For testing builds it would be much easier just to reroll instead of flooding the game with alts.
On second thought, is this of course bad for roleplaying but yeah.. It's a beta test and we should test the beta.

You might as well post in your own language since it will be just as understandable.

Because it takes a lot of time to move to level 21.
I think Roachor ment, to go to NPC XY, click on the dialogue, and have all your perks + the skillpoints back while still on 21.
You can now spend your points and/or SPECIAL Stats new.

This will allow people to make a great levelling up build and then recycle all the points for a sneak-bomber or whatever. - Bad idea

Consequently we could demand being max level just at the beginning of the game. It's a beta test right? So why should we waste time exping?

The point is that we are also supposed to test how a character progress will go on with different types of builds.

Yes, the leveling up process is still important. But if you are on 21, you do what? Yes, making an alt, or doing pvp all day long. Testing how the playability of new chars is good for the next wipes I think.

Oh no a game that is a massive success and has tons of features that almost every MMO has something that could "sound like WoW" has already used a feature, what ever shall we do?
