Interface test server
« on: August 04, 2010, 02:31:44 pm »

For those who are working on an interface mod, and happen to run into 2238 down (which fortunately happens rarely) here is a server which allows to look at your work in-game.

ip: 87.98.167.187
port: 4000

Server taken down, because of protocol changes, and sdk public release.

There is no registration, just login with any user/pass (you shouldn't use password from 2238 though).
Nothing works except chat.

Also:
type "rtty" in chat for victim (to test aiming window)

Note:
As on 2238 "My character is a flameboy" issue is present here, client restart is required after first login to get proper skin.

I have taken it down, since i didn't implement changes in protocol after last update, and sdk was released so everyone can use their own server.

Is the function and working of the netcode relayed in the SDK? Haven't even downloaded it yet.

SDK contains binary server, no network protocol description.

Server will be ported to linux later, if this is the goal of reversing the network protocol, this is on the todo list.

That was the point of reverse-engineering, now i hope porting to unix-like systems won't be deffered forever.
