I think that there is only one solution..
Restart to server.

Waiting doesn't help, no matter how long you wait.
Characters are bugged somehow.. I don't know.

Got the same problem, I can only log on char i loged off last at night :/

I can log on 1 of 3 of my characters and those 2 says I has to wait 10 minutes ... Well I waited over night and nothing changed.

The problem was gone for me tonight. Is anyone still having this problem? I spoke briefly with Rusty about it and he said the problem is solved with a server reboot.

I am having troubles launching my game.  I get the loader up and click play my screen changes like it's about to log in, then immediately returns to my desktop with no error screen, or other indication of a problem.  I know this may become a mute point after the upcoming wipe, but I was looking forward to trying to play with the pre-wipe madness.  Any help would be great.

Problem solved, be warned some advanced 3D options in video settings caused this issue.

I don't see my cursor when i start the game, no error messages or nothing i can get to the character selection but i haven't tried to proceed because i can't really do my character when i can't see my cursor.

Check this: http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=20021.msg167585#msg167585. Use "search" next time, it was 1st/2nd result. By the way, errors are most likely in FOnline.log

i launch the game and it sits there on a gray screen. if i move the mouse or hit any key it crashes without an error message. its fully updated and everything. i tried reinstalling and everything. i got it to work on my friends PC for him and i did everything on his PC that i did to mine. i don't understand. what do?

When i try to update, windows gives me a JIT error, saying i can't do that kind of operation.
If i click on Continue, nothing happens.

I'm having a similar issue here as well. Everything should be good to go. Drivers, paths... etc but i get this grey screen, then nothing. When i drop the resolution, the game will actually launch, but it's all black with just a tiiiiny square of the menu in the top left while the music plays on in the background.. teasing me. Can't seem to figure out what the heck the issue is.

Weird. The problem seems to have sorted itself out... I can run the game, just not on the highest res or it'll crash before it starts. And alt tabbing, lets just forget about that. BUT IT WORKS!!!! Huzzaah!

I cant launch the game because I think websense is preventing me from getting the proper updates, is there any way around that? I get the message couldnt connect to update server
