Private missions
« on: March 14, 2012, 07:57:36 pm »

Hi! I'm kinda new on the forums, but I want to share an idea I had a time ago.

I have an idea which would help people like me, who don't like the game for its PVP elements but for the possibility to play with others, generally doing stuff together.

My idea is to have private missions which would allow a small team to go out and complete a mission, partly isolated from the main map. This means there is a location which only seen for the ones in the party, having no disturbance from outside. The mission could vary from hunting down a badit leader to rescue missions and so go on.

It is something like the "dungeon"s from other mmos, like world of warcraft, but in Fallout style.
The reward could be caps, and it would open up a new way to gain money. [Bounty hunters for the win.]

I don't know If the idea was discussed before, but here it is.

Listen, why don't you inform yourself first about the game, friend?

There's a NCR railway gang quest, Klamath stranded ship, Gunrunner Stolen Case... There are such missions in game, but, if you want to suggest some new ideas, go ahead.

Are there any repeat-able ones? In case I missed it.

slave run is only for slavers, and there is not other repeat-able-few-players-quest for few people for factions like bos, vc and other, dunno about raiders and enclave. BoS got 1 mission for few guys, but veyr short and after this quest BoS quest line is broken or bugged.

Sounds like fallout tactics , to make such " dungeons " much work has to be done though i would like to see something like that.

sounds like dungeons in wow, but this is good idea, 1 dungeon in that game can take from 10 min up half hour, depends on party members equipment and skills. i think pve training side like hinkley for BoS is possiblilty, but depends on dev resources.

@Who Killed Bambi

Thanks! And yes, It could be hard to archive because new maps are a must, and I don't know what resources the dev's have.

@T-888

I liked the FT game, although my only problem was the NPC's intelligence, because they almost never did anything. They were just sitting on ducks waiting to be slaughtered.

I don't know how much programming this requires, but If there are people out there who wants to do something else than PVP (Again I don't have anything against PVP), this could be a nice feature.

Tanker quest (obtain-able in clamath) is for few players and not so hard.
and hard one mission is mutant quest from gun runners, u need there good tactics and/or not small team, also pc which take quest is better to be hidden far from mutants, so cant participate at all ( death - no longer see location ). so you can take quest by 15+ lvl character and pick up alt by log-off-tag-punch-relog-go.
