gauss need only 4 str so it is only -20% skill
240-20+40 = 260.
before wipe u needed 240 + 40 - 20(CA ac)= 260.
addind more specials to str is waste of points. making sniper for 13-14ap is waste of ap and perks. show me sniper which will stay longer than 2-3shoots in one hex if he didnt camp in line. when bg are rushing u have to shoot 2-3times and move back behind yours bgs and keep snipers line. when you have less than 160hp u can easly die from silgle avenger burst. giving more specials to ag is waste of points because u dont need more than 10ap and brof. it is better when u use them on EN or PE.
yes you can make little better build with active thoughnes but u need to take psyho and buff.
5en + cola and u have 8ap + jet u have 10ap - 2 aimed shoots
if you dont want to take jet you have to take
8en and +1action boy so you used 1perk for +1ap and he used 1perk for better toughnes
compare +15% resist - 3/10% and better toughnes is little better than +15% because +3 thresholds
add to that +2 or +3 specials you have to used on EN, and you will see 5pe + jet + cola +perk 3/10 is better because u have more specials for your builds
now str. 1 str is good for gauss because gauss need only 4str and ac isnt working when you arent running so it is +20% compare to prev sesion.

Gauss should use max range so 160 hp i enough, when enemy rushing to kill him, bg protect him.

i have 166hp sniper for jet and psyho and he can tank only 1 burst, and u have to be v careful and allways take stims to keep your helth over 130hp

gauss is to expensive to run with 160hp because we have ca not ba ;]
i know how to make 191hp build but with active better this char is for all drugs.
needler can be max almost 250skill but he wont have doc skill and doc is more important than 10%skill
same 12pe is big advantage because u can see enemy snipers before they will see you
