Yes, some of us like just that. As far as im concerned its a good thing. See, it only makes the newbeys stronger and smarter. They learn from there mistakes. Yes its the newbeys fault if he/she dies. They werent smart enough to stay alive. If they stay and dont rage quit, there stronger from there death, and will make them better players in the future. If they ragequit, good, less pathatic players around. But the wasteland is full of npcs who want to kill pcs without no reason. Why can't players occasionally do the same?

Yes and? You spawned in bad time at bad palce, theres nothing not bad that can be balanced - its your problem to surive, due to game mechanic dont help newbies.
And as said before, NCR is not the biggest city in the world that you need to go around it ,  becasei I bet that you got killed around there by going to mine or to the wasteland.
Change city/place where you hunt isntead of whinning on forum that you don't know how to play.

solution 1: wear nothing if you travel ambushes areas (like SF)
solution 2: invest in outdoorsman - then u can simply avoid player encounters.

Just because you got killed.. really.. you got killed in this game million times!!
I don't even know how many times I been killed in totally, but I don't care about it and keep playing even I lose some valuable stuff sometimes.

I remember day 1 of boot, when my Senior Drill Instructor told us it was his job to weed out the weak willed and drop them back into the civilian world, so that those that COULD hack it didn't have to put up with those that couldn't.

FOnline can be sort of like that.  Your first character can be a crucible of sorts, and if you aren't hardened by it, you will simply be broken by it.  Many people persevere and make it through the first few months, which will be the most difficult time in the game for any player.  PK's, APK's, and everyone in between who stuck around have been hardened by their experiences.  We all went through it, and now you are going through it.  You are not special.  Once you come to the realization that you CAN do this, it's NOT too hard, and that any challenges CAN be overcome... you are free to do as you please.  We don't all choose the same path, we are not forced to become PK, or APK, or neutral.

In this game, you can do as you wish if you stick around long enough to do it.

If I recall correctly Surf, we had a similar conversation HERE http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=17924.msg148313#msg148313 and the end result was, We all readily  agree the game currently ACTIVELY supports this, by, due and only because of the wishes of the Developers since, as Johnny aptly said, they havent given much love on this part of the game. Truth be told I would like THEM, Scypior, Lasik, Solar and whomever else is coding the game, to give us why the hell they allow all this to happen? Its not cool it happens but I find it worse they just dont adress this. Oh maybe they do adress it, indirectly, for this session has been the least noob friendly in a while

What about a Karma System?

If you kill Players with a better Karma then you, they lose, lets say, -10 Karma each kill.
If you hit -50 or -100 Karma you will be shot on sight by the "good" NPC Factions and Guards in Town.

Maybe implement some sort of quests to get your Karma back up, or just let it regenerate over (RL) time. Lets say you regain from -100 Karma to 0 in one RL week.

This system cant be used in TC-able towns, so there could be different levels of zones in which you can kill others without any karma loss (TC towns), with less karma loss (worldmap) and 5x karma loss (guarded non-TC towns, mining sites except non-safe ones), so you can fight TC the way it is, but would be insta KOS when killing/stealing in guarded towns.

So trolls could still kill innocent people everywhere but have to take the consequences.

Karma of Players should be viewable - Maybe by showing the name of bad people in red, or in green if good ones.

quitter! i am new too, and i have been killed by other players MANY MANY MANY times for no reason! yet i still play! maybe because i honestly like it, maybe cause i like a challenge, but i still play! yeah, i RAGE so much in my head when i die, but an hour later i am back on. don't let yourself be one of the people you hate, i get by perfectly fine, and i haven't stolen or pk'd anyone, nor do i plan to! the closest you will ever see me get is looting a dead body, or stealing my stuff back, and with the looting, if they asked, i would give them back their stuff. why? i am just nice, but i am not a quitter, and neither should you be!

ITS A GAME! trust me, i raged alot at the beginning of this but well i played other games that leaves you out in the fucking nowhere with no freakin idea what to do and alot of dipshits that kill you, scam you and assrape you... but hey its a game!  turn off the fucking machine relaxe have some good times... maybe tell others that some random bitches killed you for no appearent reason... maybe they will join you on your quest for caps... maybe you soon own people for no reason yourself...
