I don't really understand how conditions and the repairing works can someone explain detailed.

And can a combat knife be used to skin gecko's?

if you've played fallout 3 or new vegas it's just like that pretty much.

And no you need a gecko skinner perk to skin geckos.

ok, so, the deterioration had been replaced with condition, the higher the condition, the better the weapon, so 100% is brand new

however, the item has 2 conditions, actual and maxumum(imagine making holes in a leather jacket in RL, you can repair some of the dmg but not all) the first % can't be higher than the second %

when you repair you take the object you repair and thenan other object that is similar. you "steal" some det from the second object and add a part of it to the first one(when low on repair, but it works)

if you have a tool, you can first select the tool then the second object to increas your repair
