What if having a robe in your hand aswell as disguising your armour also disguised your hp? It wouldnt effect combat as you would need to switch hands to shoot anyway. But it might discourage newbie killing as youre not sure if its actually a level 21 with full kit under that robe.

could also be that you need to have perception and awareness to detect the armor depending on the distance.
