Perhaps it should be possible to craft something like a
Ghilley suit or a
portable blind.
1.)Ghillies would give sneak bonus in the type of area it is made for- desert, mountain, urban, forest.
The bonus would be 1% per 10% of Outdoorsman skill of the crafter. And they deteriorate 1% per in-game day. This deterioration is against the suits' sneak bonus, so a 100 OD crafter makes a suit that is 10% bonus and lasts for 10 in-game days, weakening 1% each day. This day would be calculated in 6-hour blocks- each time it is put on or taken off there is a 6-hour increment added to counting the deterioration. This way they won't degrade in storage.
2-A.)The portable blind would have a tile graphic that would take the place of the character graphic but only as long as you don't move.
People coming close (10 hexes) would have a chance of detecting it.
If you move or are discovered the blind goes into cooldown and can't be redeployed until the cooldown wears off.
Firing from the blind results in auto-detection by anyone within 10 hexes, otherwise you get to keep firing from a concealed position.
These could also deteriorate.
2-B). Pitching A Blind. The above use of Portable Blind is for sniper roleplaying. What about hunting?
For this a Blind must be deployed in the same manner as a Tent.
Use OD on the blind in inventory while standing in a map (not a location map) and the blind creates something like a tent instance.
The game then rolls for encounters over time as if you were circling around on the World Map over that square.
These blinds could also be found by other players.
2-C.) Perhaps combine 2-A with 2-B: park a car...
