The hub workbench
« on: January 14, 2010, 12:03:29 am »

Hi there, I just recently moved to the Hub, where I am going to stay and it would be fun if more people where to go there BUT there is one little gamekiller in The Hub, that is the workbench... its extremely secluded and if you havnt been there before you won't find it, someone almost needs to show you where it is.

Im just saying that placing a workbench closer to the spawnpoint when you enter the Hub could attract more players, becouse this wont attract many crafters. I would love to see more people in the Hub.

Just use Town/World, jump to oldtown, do yer crafting job, move to the west and leave Hub in the south. Not the best way, but also not what I would call worse.

mm yes, but you cannot deny that the workbench is really secluded and hard to see.

Guys, but way from workbench to exit grid is even faster than in NCR, really ;] Maybe you didn't realize there is another exit grid at south, near iguana shop.

Yes the workbench in NCR is far away from the exitgrid but atleast that workbench is in the same district as the main townspawn (exitarea where you spawn if you just click the green arrow -.-') and it is also very easy to find. I would just be a little bit happy if they didnt hide it so much as they do atm in the Hub.

They cannot spawn workbenches that can be used for crafting, only ones that can be used as containers. A functional workbench would have to be put in with the mapper.

For a second I thought you were about to suggest moving it just a bit. But you haven't, so I will.

Please move the workbench 1 hex to the North-East. It is obscured by the wall as it is right now and only if you stand right next to it can you see the whole of it and click it easily. Moving it slightly to make more of it visible would be quite lovely and make my life easier.
