Fire Gecko Pelts
« on: March 04, 2010, 10:22:21 pm »

I think fire geckos could be useful, because atm i think most people just run from them like the plague. How about giving them fire gecko pelts when killed that can be used to upgrade the combat leather jacket into a fireproof jacket that would have high fire and explode resistance. It can still use the same animations as leather jackets, and it would just need new artwork for when it's in your inventory. The explode resistance could also reduce the chance of a knockdown from nades.

Well Metal/Tesla protects heavily against laser/plasma, CAMkII  protects against electrical and laser heavily and brotherhood protects against laser plasma and electrical. There should be armors that have higher resistance to fire, explode, and normal. This fixes the fire and explode, and another variant of CA could always be made with higher normal resistance.

Nah deathclaws are more for xp.
Fire geckos on the other hand aren't very good to train on, and don't have anything usseful to make them worthwhile killing.
And something fire/explsoive resistance would be nice.

maybe have a deathclaw hide leather armour, it would protect you to 70% against normal damage, but the other resistances suck ass, and it has a negative resistance to fire  ::), would be pretty sweet, no?

Wasn't that proposed several times already? How many times do I have to say that this is a very good idea?!

Currently it would be too much work to make a new jacket animations, so the inventory image would have to suffice, but later if this whole 3d chars thing will come to life that would be just a matter of recolouring...

And yes, this game needs more armors. Definitely.
