All bartenders should have "What's on tap" option, allowing the players to purchase pure booze, beer, alcohol, etc, without the use of a barter menu. Now that beer gives charisma, low charisma builds use it to escort their friends and have followers and what not. All bartenders should not have a charisma demand so that low charisma builds have access to booze.
OR I can simply write a "Bartender" for all bars :P
THis is an extremely important issue, that I remember Vederas bitching about back in the day. I noticed it hasnt been fixed :P, anyways its a must have! And it needs to be implement with the next update! It is vital for Roleplaying :)
Let's put our heads together and fix this ASAP if you guys agree that I should make a bartender then I will have one ready in 10 minutes or less!

@ the topic: I pretty much agree. It should be natural that every bar has such stuff to sell. ;)

Sure, go for it. Only reason its not so is because noone has had the time to do the dialogues. Just make sure the prices are the same for everyone ;)

the only issue with that is that beer from a bartended when you ask whats on tap costs 100 caps!
If the same bartender happens to have some beers in his barter inventory the beer there costs 1 cap.
So you are kinda getting scammed there if you buy it during the dialogue...
I understand that since has a benefit its price went up to 100 caps but following that logic you should get paid for drinking booze as it only gives you -1 perception and no benefit! Furthermore the cost of a train ticket is 100 caps... and a beer simply should not cost the same.
Also I got a quest to get a guy in Adytum 8 beers... that quest now costs 800 caps and rewards me with 300xp.
PS.
(The wasteland is harsh, why do you need to have a benefit for everything you do etc are not really constructive answers here...)

Alcohol prices will be similar to F2 and/or real life. A beer costs about 5 caps, booze will be 10 caps, Gamma Gulp will be 7 Caps, etc. I'll make one universal bartender and upload it soon.
Rotgut is too expensive, it's base price is 120 caps. I'll just make sure that bartenders don't sell it.

LOL :p well the dialog is done, feel free to use it where needed, maybe have 2 bartenders in every town? One vendor, one pure booze seller.\?

lol huh? Are the prices too low? I made the bartender very close to the F2 Reno Bartenders.

Beer is now a drug for us, so its priced as a drug. You can keep the useless ones as low as you want, but Beer is $100.

If it was craftable that would be an admission I've given up on the arena style fight for beer, I've not given up on it yet!

I suggest $1000 for water and $10 beer in Junktown ;) (or where was the water 1000$ in Fallout series?)

the dialog is in the SVN feel free to change it, it's just a basic new reno style bartender... I don't think beer should be 100 caps but ehhhhh it's not my game lol so I don't mind.
I kinda wished all booze gave the +1 charisma tho.
