Talked to a fellow in the southern most building at the NCR mining site. He offered to sell me my own mine for 75k... Anyone mind explaining what exactly this is? A base? can it be encountered?

Pre-wipe it was something you bought it was not visible to anyone but you, and I believe your gang. It was [Temporary!]. only lasting one week real time. I don't know anything about it during this version of the server. But since there wasn't anything posted on it, it may not have changed. Also as far as I remember it was only the tier one quality materials.

Only private mine that isn't waste of caps is bunker for 500k. You have regular ore and minerals there, AFAIK they weren't worn out.

it's like a bigger tent, really. The ore and mins run out, and it's not worth the 75k really. It's only visible to you, not your gang. And it lasts forever. We bought one pre-wipe, waste of money. In my opinion, if you're a loner, it may be worth it to buy one and use it like a 2nd tent, if you have the caps to blow on it. It does have 1 storage container. That's about it.
