Title: Shouting on the World Map
Post by: Gunduz on January 15, 2010, 06:47:17 am
In an attempt to further limit the need for IRC, I'm suggesting that yelling be added to the WM. For example, a player in an encounter in a specific square yells and anyone over that square at the time can hear it. Additionally, anyone on the world map can yell and have a player in adjacent squares hear the message. This will help greatly when parties get split up from encounters and have to meet again.

How about using a radio? I do this with my friends just in case we get split because of leaving random encounter or something.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe fonline has to be particularly realistic, but if you take a scale of real US map, one fallout square = more less 20x20 km or 12x12 miles. So yelling to adjacent squares seems a bit extreme...
