Yesterday I got robbed in a very interesting way, which I would very much prefer to the blatant shot-in-the-eyes-then-loot approach:
I was hunting for monsters and stumbled upon an encounter of Molerats vs Pigrats, so I started taking them down one by one in turn-based with my dearly beloved .44 magnum (speed loader <- best beginner small gun IMO, especially with fast shot). After half of the critters were dead, a group of 2 stumbled upon my juicy encounter, obviously they opened fire on me, but they did not kill me, they knocked me down and killed all the pig rats that were gnawing away from my paralyzed character (Luckily I ended up with -19 hp).
Hoping they would put me out of my misery like everyone else seems to do, instead they ordered me to tell "pa pi po" three times, to which of course I complied. After succeeding my given task, I was first-aided to life and I was instantly asked to drop all my items to the ground. Having absolutely no chance against a .233 pistol (my favourite gun), I decided to forfeit my items and I was let go.
Moral of the story: I think this how robbing people should take place, instead of the instakills I see very often. By giving the player a chance to live by forfeiting his items is nice, shredding people to pieces is discouraging. I know there are pvp people on the forums, so, hear me out, follow my robber's lead and make robbing stuff much more interesting :).

That is a neat way to get robbed, but to pull something like that would require a brain to think with. Something which most robbers/pkers seem to lack :-\
Also, best beginner gun is flamer imo (overall that is)

Well, another problem is you just can't decide to only KO your ennemi by putting him in negative HP, it is so fast to kill... It would maybe cool if (if not big nasty crit) when you should be at, lets say, -50, you are automatically at -19 to let you a chance to be healed.

A good read. Unfortunately this only happens once out of 1000 random encounters you get.
Most of the time you just get shot, maybe some individual even makes some mature speech at your corpse, like "shits in mouth" or "lol n00b pwned xD".

Thanks for the quick replies, this situation renewed my hope in the FOnline wasteland. Otherwise I believe that one could incapacitate an opponent by shooting in low-critical areas, such as legs or hands. Or make the needler pistol ammo have different properties? (Such as poison darts)

generally its not worth killing someone unless theyve got metal armor mk2 or higher on. some people may have run into me in the boneyard and i attempt similar tactics, though obviously cant do much about killing shots. i don't kill them unless they talk smack, or have nice armor on.

Oh god, are you serious? I don't wanna risk getting shot and first aid someone then ask him politely that I want his items. If you would have better weapon like assault rifle you would insta kill him with burst after he healed you, don't you?

Yes, but I'm sure you would if the victim was a bluesuit with 60 max hp and a .44 magnum? (my ammo was looted before revival, so I was left with 3 bullets).

I encountered you and your group of PK buddies twice on 2 different accounts.
Both low level blue suits, 1 with 10mm pistol hunting brahmin, 1 gathering stuff.
Both were shot on sight by you and your friends.
I guess you're a fine example of what Inskipp said.

Nice, I wish I could be given a chance instead of being shot in the face.
But I do laugh at robbers who kill me and go to loot my empty corpse. I taunt them then ;D

This happened to me too, minus The "pa pi po".

Dont know if it was me threating him with a good 10 of my members, to kill him on sight or that TTT LA will kill my enemys on sight.
Anyway he healed me, and i give him my items, LOL i had both legs cripples, so i had no choice really. :P
His name was "Agapit"
But yes, a much more enjoyable way of being robbed.

LOL, i just tell them how skilled they are to kill a bluesuiter and what a pro they are.
And if u happen to kill a pker, they call u a noob. LOL

hehe what do you expect me to do? i simply cant guarantee a fun robbery experience for everyone involved everytime i encounter someone, lol. believe me if game mechanics allowed for me to hold someone in place without removing one or both legs, i'd do it. as it stands for me and most other "PKs" we are only capable of doing that when the situation allows.
i have two friends who live in the boneyard with me, unless brahmin suddenly took to urban life, i believe you've ran into some other PK's. like i said in a previous post, if you want to talk to us, we have a public radio which is in use 90% of the time.. the other 10% of the time we aren't going to be anywhere you can find us anyway. we make it known we prefer to not shoot english players as we particularly enjoy griefing the russians, but if you don't wish to get on and speak with us theres no way i can tell you apart from random russian #121435523.

Well, maybe you guys find it funny to get robbed and stay alive but what i more important ? Your stuff or your life ? Since you can respawn in 60 secs while you will have to bother crafting all your stuff back again ....
So, try to get your stuff back from the robber or die trying !

as a robber, i can say with honesty, these guys are the ones i love to fight. ive gotten beat by 2 low levels, and even a single low level. in fallout luck is 50% of it. i got groin shot knocked out, then head shot killed by a guy with 43 hp and a desert eagle while carrying combat armor and 20+ radios.
its all part of the game :0

Luck plays a part in these types of things yes. As far as being part of the game, sadly it is a poorly implemented and overly abused part of the game. However at least some people are choosing to take their noobish attacks on low lvls, and throw some flair into it. Having been harassed in such a way before I still don't find it very fun, and only mildly more entertaining than being blasted in the head and looted. But at least when this happened it wasn't 3 people and some armed mercs, after which they stated how bad-ass they were for taking out a 44 hp bluesuit. This one might have made me chuckle.

First of all, nor "russians" but "Russians", secondly, what's your problem with a whole nation? A nation does not consist only of ass-holes, you know...
I like this idea of robbing but there should be some stimulus for people not to shoot players on sight.

I was robbed, killed or not killed:
1. a player almost put to death me, took away ore and demanded to extract yet, if he will leave me in living.
2. a player at meeting asked peacefully to divide, I consented. when I stepped back outside the action of my weapon he put to death me and my merc.
3. 2 players at meeting required to collect for them flint (ha-ha-ha) or will put to death me. they put to death me.
4. very oftentimes I was killed at meeting or at included in a city, though I had only 14-20 HP
my conclusion is such: if you you can not rise from earth and someone requires something from you, threatening to put to death.
you can spend time and agree, give everything, to save the empty shell or save the dignity and die with honour.
