Farming:

Farming should take place at your tent, it allows you to produce things such as fibers and fruits in a low amount. When out and about and you come across items such as the ones listed above, using Outdoorsman on them will give you a small XP gain and the possibility of seeds (Similar to using Science on weapons) When you have the seed, use it a Shovel on a tile and it shall create a hole, use the seed on the hole and use the shovel again to bury it, water your new seedling and it shall grow, it needs water to continue  growing with the possibility that it dies if not watered, use a Water skin on the Seed hex to water it. You  also need to check for weeds every now and then as the Weeds may kill off the plant, examine the hex and it will tell you if there are weeds, to get rid of the weeds use a rake on the hex and you will De-weed it. when the plant is grown use a knife on it to harvest or just gather the items.

Fishing:

Fishing can take place at your tent, or in a tile close to water, to begin fishing go close to the shore and use your Spear on a water tile close to shore, you will automaticly stab the water for a few seconds, depending on your Outdoorsman you may or may not catch a fish, repeat a few times, you'll probably gain a small or Medium sized fish. You only gain one fish at a time using a Spear.

A Net can be created using Wood and Fibers and setup in the waters to catch fish, come back in a few ingame hours and you may have netted some fish, commonly small fish, nets have a tendancy to break so be sure to come back to check on them every so often, you may only set these up at a tent and your only allowed a maximum of 3.

A Fishing Rod may be used to fish ingame, used the same way as a Spear, you'll stay by the water fishing for a couple of ingame minutes, you may get a bite or not depending on your Outdoorsman, you may also use bait to  increase your chance of hooking a bigger fish.

Note: for these activities, the maximum amount of OD is 100%, you shouldnt need any higher for this type of activity, by all means have it higher for travelling but with it maxed out at 100% for these activities everyone gets a chance to farm

What i mean to say is it gives a chance for even people with 20% to farm and fish and cook etc etc.

I like the farming idea, but taming animals ( other than dogs ) is ridiculous. do  you imagine how stupid it would look? its bad enough with bluesuits dancing around in ncr

yes.. what would be the USE for all those fish hehe .. like stimpaks?

its a nice idea.. i see no real use for it tho.. but i think all the fish arr kinda dead from poluted waters.. or not eadable.. or might even eat you..

i like the animal taming part tho,. aslong as i can have myself a Deathclaw! :D

Food would help raise health over a period of time, also could be used for taming, meats can be eaten without being cooked but will lack the benefits of having a nice warm meal.

Also i couldve sworn they said they may implement Food/Drinking into the game so might aswell offer suggestions for making it slightly easier

I actually support the Idea of farming and carpentry, I don't see what use fishing would provide, the only things you should be able to tame are dogs and cows.

My roommate actually told me something that makes sense, she said that after the war since no one's policing marijuana, why aren't people farming dope? Lots of people love pot, and it would actually make sense to sell it in massive heaps in an apocalyptic setting. Laws would be much more lax on Marijuana since it was only truly illegalized due to Arizona's hatred for mexicans(They believed pot gave mexicans superhuman strength), the fact that timber industries would fall if paper were made from pot, and Anslingers unreasonable hatred for the plant. Perhaps pot can be sold in rope form, like in this song my old man used to listen to about how the titanic really fell(The captain smoked some rope given to him by a deckhand). Pot could be a mutated plant like corn is in fallout, adapting to harsh environments, or it can be grown underground like the psychadellic mushrooms under Adytum(Since phylocibin grows in cow shit).

Carpentry would be useful to cultivating crops underground that cannot survive in the harsh sunlight, and building tents with better containers in them, or rustic sheet metal cabins.
