Title: Changelog 13/01/2010

FIXES:
- Server crashs fixed... hopefully.
- Fix for spear using NPCs.
- Critters that lose sight of their targets should try to find them again.
- Hub entrance patrol position fixed.
- Fixed locks.

(SMALL FEATURES):
- Placed additional entrance and exit point to the south of Hub center.
- Added "out of character"-message command. (use prefix /o or .o)

CHANGES (WIP):
- Changed lights in:
   * all Hub maps
   * NCR map
   * Necropolis Watershed map
   * all Boneyard maps
   * Frisco map
   * Junktown map
   * Klamath map
   * Redding maps
   * Modoc map
   * Gecko map
   * Navarro map
   * Cathedral maps
- Weapons deteriorate two times slower.
- Changed the way of encounter groups placement - player group that has been first engaged in encounter is no longer placed in the center (with critter groups being placed basing on his perception/perks). Center remains empty, the groups are placed basing on their properties (default 5-15 for NPC groups), for players that is: 5 + PE + 3 * Cautious Nature.
- Breakage count of given item is not relevant when dismantling it. That should give a purpose to salvage resources from items found in encounters. Still, the condition of these items is a penalty to your science skill, so high science or/and some toolkit might help.

i got the report that mean i use wrong client and need update new patch. But when i use update tool, can't find new patch

I really like the new lighting and the scenery objects in the falcon. :)
Now everyone has to download the update and then hopefully the servers running well.

BTW - that guy must be a lucky bastard. :D

i have notice some bugs with graphics in the city enounter maps, like a floating red question mark in place where should be a wall, there wasn`t before

I encountered two new bug in the World Map after the update as follows:
_ Can not use right-click for hold and drag the map.
_ When you set a location to move to the game if you exit and enter, you will not stop at that location but you will continue to move forward.

Hm, everything works fine for me, the new ".o" command is really awesome for out of character chats, the new lamps/lights are looking really good, the worldmap has no bugs for me, the server is stable. Couldn't make anything better. :D

Getting the same problem.

FOnline seems to stay open just long enough to copy default.cache and name it 94.23.237.127.cache

I have the same problem. After updating, the game does not start. The window pops up for a second with a gray background but disappears almost instantly.

Ok... not as awesome as I expected, but at least crashes are fixed (I hope). Lots of people (including me) are having problem with World Map scrolling and when you try to click something the cursor is off by about 1cm. Izual and Wipe both claimed this was a cache problem and theirs works fine, but this is not a cache problem. I have deleted all cache (except default) and got a brand new cache from server and these problems persist, I don't want to imagine the cursor bug in combat. Not to mention probably about a quarter of players can't even start up the game now. Seems to me that a lucky bunch got away without any of these bugs while the rest of us are getting either cursor and WM bugs or their client won't even open.

I love the ambient lighting though, great stuff.

Erm.. one question.. why i have been massacred by two caravans without warnign (VC, Redding), about 16 NPC, when I have -200 VC and -100 Redding reputation? I was blasted from the max range with 2 toughness perks o.O Wasteland never was so harsh! xD (but 2 XL7 and Pancor left on the desert.. argh)

Ah, scrolling the map with RMB is bugged, it just scrolls the map up, not in other directions.

2nd updater didnt help logging in situation. Theres talk that somethin about the lights might be the reason.

Shouldn't be the case. The light effects are in the game since long time already. So the game has to start.


On my working computer the game runs fine too and this thing is like 10 years old, so it's something else. We will fix it.

random ancounters are very hard, my char is attacked at first in groups encounters (for example radscorpions and raiders - raiders start to attack me). I think that this is not bad, outdoorsman skill is more important now, and Wasteland is really dangerous. I died about 6 times in 10 minutes after this update, heh :P

same thing here ! and there is no difference who stands closer. they always attack me))
but  14mm pistol and/or enchanted laser pistol helps a lot.

It's for messages which are not said by your character, but rather by you (a player, real life person), for example "omg, I have terrible lags" in the middle or RP conversation. Not the best example, but it shows the idea...

I agree, I encounter like 1 rat, before it was too much NPCs in encounters but now it's way too little.

I think it's usefull for beginners to stay alive. But IMO it'll be better to made number of NPCs in encounters depend on charecter's level too.

I'm finding about the same amount of enemies in my random encounters as before. Maybe I'm just lucky, or you are just unlucky. (Or for low-levels, lucky)

HOLY, and yes, i noticed when i was less than level 7, i met only one enemy, now i meet few after got level 8 :D
