Seriously dying should have consiquences.. give chars a ammount of lives for a weak eg 10 which regenerates 1 or 2 lives a weak... it is redicolous that there are lvl 18 players with top equipment. Also being hated should have consiquences of being at risk dieng more often
Pkers should live in risk of being killed so rage of faction members of the killed one... to neutralize a thread for example a week or just 2 days.. it is so annoying that people tend to play the game like they are unbreakable or immortla..

okay my idea is really simple : 7 lives for 7 times dying in a weak.. if you die you lose one and got 6 left it does not matter if you use up all your 7 lives in a day or not even within a weak.
IF you dont have any life left.. you are dead for the end of the weak and need to play with alternative char.
After a weak you gain 5 lifes for the next weak.. you can have at most 7 lifes..
Getting killed by PVE costs you 0,5 lives.. to make the life easier for noobs
this would lead to a game where naked mining at risky positions is not an issue anymore or just for the desprate and dying would have drawbacks.. players who try to be in the spotlight because of killing players maybe they get hunted down aswell...

This is stupid and easy to exploit.
Most probably random respawn would be no more, so your enemies would kill you, go check the tiles around the probable respawn point and if you have low outdoors, it is quite possible they catch you in some encounter, killing you again...
Better suggestions are those that you should have to do some boring task after you die...

a boring task ? lol how hilirious.. makes the game very funny... just make the person for 10 mins invincible .. he has no gun and needs to relocate thats annoying enough.. so he will just lose one life at at time.. spawnkilling sucks

@Wipe whats wrong with the idea.. making a killed person invincible for 10 mins gives him the chance to avoid getting spawn killed.. he already would have lost a precious life...

Step 1: Make an unarmed char.
Step 2: Get killed, wreak havoc until invincibility wears off.
Step 3: GOTO Step 2.

man you are dead.. combine it with you cannot attack anything timer... dont be so lazy refusing to lose your fantasy..

Can you tell me what it would solve?
You would just be able to safely travel for 10 minutes after death, possibly trolling other players with your invulerability (even if not able to attack).
This would be just wasted dev time for feature brining nothing of value to the game. I don't know if it even is possible to prevent using bombs and mercs for example in that 10 minutes...

i meant with you are dead that your char would have been dead and so being able to attack someone else would be stupid at all..
how do you reach mercs or npc chars to assist you ? and how would you troll around exactly ?
just make the respawned char just able to run around 10 mins not being able to use any ability it wont do harm then and he can get back to his people without being killed again.. another annoying thing of this system now..

Ok, so you mean you should be able to run around wasteland for 10 minutes as invulerable ghost (should be walk-through-able to prevent blocking exploits)?
I thought your point was to make death have some harsher consequences... This is actually the opposite of it... Please decide what you want...
Also this would be exploitable for spying on enemies...

the consiquence is that you restart at one of the normal respawn locations AND when you lose all your lives which you had for the weak your wont be able to play the char until the end of the weak

The N-lives-per-week is bad suggestion, dedicated players (aka no-lifers :) ) will be most affected by it, not a good reward for their dedication...
Parowooz - not really if organized PvP has different rules. Wasteland would be harsh, but there should be option to do team PvP in arena style, not very different from how you can do now hth fights in Maltese Falcon, or the awesome FFA events...

the now lifers have lots of alt characters so they ll just suffer the loss of a char if they play too sucidial..

And? We should be afraid to die. Right now there's just no reason to die for.
However I do not agree with limited ammount of deaths. Dying is part of pvp and fighting in general. Once and if there ever becomes more important reasons to fight for, death limit is just going to be a nuisance. Some players want only pvp and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just the reasons that people fight for do not fit our gameworld. Town control is the most reasonable but it's not encouraged enough.

I think the op made the suggestion as a way to deal with PK'ers, however this will negatively affect legitimate PvP'ers. Imagine trying for TC, dying once - then thats it for PvP. TTTLA vs Red dots - only 1 battle per day?

this is a horrible idea, I died when I started playing this game 7 times in 30 mins trying to get to the next town.
you lose everything on death and are respawned at sometimes a random location, weakened and near death.
Why do oyu need more penalty for dieing? if anything you need a penalty for killing Innocent people not for dyeing.

I agree with Holden .
I mean , more penalty ? You talked bout lvl 18 , what about lvl 2 ? lvl 3 ? many pkers (as$h&!£$) kill for no reason even if u aint got anythin with you ... now tell me , for how the game must be realistic and hard , making more penalties would be stupid and (.. wtf..) unfair for those (like me 2 weeks ago) that loves fallout and would make them lose their interest playin the game .
However just too make an endin , it would be better thinking a good pvp system .
