I got suggestion about CH 1 and when buy/sell something to shopkeepers.
CH 1 can talk to shopkeepers and buy/sell stuff, but prices are high and you sell items low price (depends you Barter skill too)
Little of writing this time, but i hope you understand my english :D

In my opinion cha1 chars should be able to visit shops in same way as cha3. The whole idea of cha1 dudes can't talk to npcs was an old attempt to encourage players not to make cha as dump stat. It didn't work the way it was meant to.

Lazy bastards... 1 ch characters can talk to vendors and trade with them. If you look good then you will find some merchant in ncr and vc. =]

I go to the Boneyard to get hunting armours

But everyone shopkeepers in wasteland.. and why CH makes you dumb? i though IN will testing you intelligent not CH.

Just go to Gecko, die there and then come back, prolly the PK won't be there anymore and you will be able to shop :)
Final answer: NO!

I'd vote for 2 CHA characters being able to trade with higher prices, but leave 1 CHA characters with the same lack of trading options, other wise CHA gets less useful.

Yeah I know devs would like every stat to be important but CH is important anyway. You can have mercs etc. This is the basic reason to have higher CH. Such things like barter are basic so they should be enabled even for CH1, seriously less alting. Of course higher prices 300% for 1CH 200% for 2CH, solved.

Well if we pull out the realism card, stores dont turn your money down if your an ugly fat midget... Lest we forget the simple rule about shopping "No shirt, no shoes, no service." Why should buster tell me to f off just because my face is ugly and my ear is kind of where my nose should be...
The worse thing charisma should do is effect quests, checks, and party size. It's bad enough having everyone in the wastes with 1 charisma, you need to be the only non power build in the group to be able to lead the ugly basterds.

As avv said, only reason why we have CH check at traders is that someone got "brilliant" idea how to boost CH since back then everyone was trying to fight against powerbuilds. So their ubersollution fucked up game even more since instead of forcing players to spend points on CH it only forced them to alt even more...
It was stupid idea that could never work in the first place and I wonder why devs implemented such dull restriction and mainly why they did not removed it when it was 100% clear that it does not do its job.

Me like leading Orcs ;D.
But yeah this system obviously doesn't work... alt alting altiny altingy *sigh*

CH1 characters already need to suffer more. Poor powerbuilds ::)

Somehow... I do not believe you Izual... Please. Please, give us an example with a character sheet.

I'm not hobby powerbuilds/alting.
So that won't hurt me :P

This is stupid thinking... We could also have <3 PE doesnt see the town or something lol. It really doesnt affect the people with ch1...unless 10 mins are what it is this trouble... trading for everyone!

powerbuilds will stay as they are, if trading becomes even more dependant on charisma it will just be an encouragement on alting, instead of limiting characters even more I'd like to see ways to make alting a lesser problem, right now it is THE problem, it would be nice to see some of the limitations removed before we go ahead and limit character development even further really...

Alting suggestions nightmare :D

system CH, which operates now excellent.
you can create character with any amount of CH, or to heave up CH by mentat.
what is a problem in?
change descriptions of the character in place of that to change the rules of game.
this game is difficult and interesting, it is not needed to make out of it another DOOM or Counter-Strike.

Drugs make everything better.
Mentats freshness! Mentat's better! MENTATS FRESH AND FULL OF LIFE!
Mentats the Fresh Maker.
I'm sure someone else remembers the 90's mentos commercials here in north america I'm refering to but if not I stand by what I said anyway. My point is do drugs (in fallout).

yep, that's the only way to make the wasteland full of cute fluffy bunnies that bleed cherry jam and whose bones are made of winegum, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dwQqjy6cgo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dwQqjy6cgo)) this summarizes the whole reason to take drugs in FOnline...

I've got mixed feelings about the shopkeeper penalties. I used to be an advocate of them, I'm prepared to admit I was wrong. On one hand, having 1/2 charisma means you have substantial bonuses in other SPECIAL - you should feel the pinch for gimping your character in an area.
On the other hand, it's a 'cheap' way of forcing people to invest in charisma. I would say that it's better to reward them for investing in it, rather than punishing them for not. But taking 1 charisma should be as undesirable as taking 1 agility.
So you buff mercs (make them respawnable for God's sakes, they're poor for loners), add passive bonuses for groups being led by a high charisma character, give them better quest rewards, make less encounters hostile for them, add companions that level up as you do, and generally make their lives that little bit easier.
