Title: Junktown guards shot me!

I was using the workbench in Junktown when a group of guards in Junktown approached & started to shoot.  I was killed of course :P

Why did this happen?  I walked through the whole town with no problem.  Junktown is my mainstay, don't want to have any problems here!

Also, my reputation with Junktown citizens is now -175, when it was 0 before.  WTF?

are you in some faction? guards dont like to have people from any factions (player or NCP) inside at night...

Not in a faction... just went back to Junktown & they didn't fire.  *whew*
Must've been a bug?!?

Maybe you pulled out a sledgehammer on them, which can be considered a weapon.

Good point, but my hands were holding guns & ammo XD
However, I'll mention that I've been lazy before & ran through Jtown w/sledgy in hand & they've only ever shouted at me...


This just occurred to me (sorry I am still learning), but could it have been someone's mercs?  I mean... I only thought they were guards b/c they didn't have names & well, they just looked that way :)

It was probably guards because you had a gun in your hand, you lost reputation, and btw, after they start shouting at you, they usually start shooting you :P

Indeed...I was hammer killed in Junktown...live and learn!
