Title: Ideas for bases

Hey devs here is a cool idea for bases.

A Billboard that only members can write stuff on, for others to read.
Non base members can still read it though and only the leader can clear the board.

And an item like a table lamp that gives of the same light as a player, to illuminate areas of base.

What do people think?

Your billboard idea sounds even more convenient than holodisks, so I agree with that. I don't understand your second point, but billboard idea is great. ps your in general discussion

"Table lamps" for lighting up the base when its night, but they give off a  light radius like the player does.

That light is kinda useless.. like that one guy write you can make light with alcohols :D

yeah, but I'd like to have the lights from the alcohols modified to having a 2 hex radius, right now they can't really be classified as lights, only as GITD rags

Using gamma gulp beer to illuminate the base is stupid and it barely lights up anything.
Something natural like a table lamp with a 4 or 5 hex light raduis, would be heaps better, and the base wouldnt look like a mess.

I don't think this is important improvement now. I'd rather like to buy any kind of base at any town with base-seller, even with completed quest as requirement. Depot is cool, but fits more to Junktown than Klamath. Bunker is awesome, but it appears near Glow, where no-one ever walks for a reason. And so on.

Well it should be called shoutboard ;). And yes its a good idea. As you can see at Klamath (http://gropingtheelephant.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/fallout-2-01.jpg) such board is very useful thing. Anyway even if it should be standalone board or part of a faction terminal writing notes and having them open for anyone could be very useful for gang members. But I must say, that there are way more needed things about factions and faction bases such as item management that should definitely have higher prio that this.

Not every gang uses out of game programs for contact, VERY few gangs use holodisks because well... they're bugged and are horrible to manage, and who carries a radio on the same channel in their hand 24/7?


So this SHOULD be at least near high prio....

At least we should be able to get glowing ghoul mercs and use them as streetlight in our bases/tents.

Wow... I think this is actually the greatest suggestion to improve any game ever. Glowing ghoul slaves NEED to happen.
