Title: Idea about slaves

I was thinking, why not let the slaves go gather almost all the resources available? I mean, for example you should be able to send them to gather wood on their own, same for junk, plants ecc.

It could be easy to code it, they should have a timer (like 20-30 mins) while they are out, then they appear back in the location where you sent them out.
Every resource (depending on rareness etc.) should have its table, like this:

The slave has been killed - 5%
The slave was scared and came back without any resource - 10%
The slave decided to run away - 5%
The slave did his job properly - 85%

Or something like that.
What do you guys think? The only thing is that it could make the resources too easy to get... but at least the slaves would be more useful :)

if i was a slave i would rather run away than pick up some roots, well arming slaves is a diffrent story

Giving 5 slaves awesome guns and them not revolting immediately is retarded too but we can still do it so... why not. :P

Buy mercenary - to guard the Slave - while he is gathering resources - like sending mercenary - gives - 50% to option : Slave run away.

and adds +50% to the slave dying (because of an escape attempt being perforated by the merc)

Guys! Think of this.

Slave + brahmin + guarding merc

Slaves goes mining all day, loads ore/minerals onto the cow and crafts MPs or Gun powder and brings it back!

That way we reduce the fun of the game even more!

Mercenary =/= slaver.

I like the idea of player having NPCs working for them but for MMO its more complicated. I hope that such straight simple minded feature will never get it into the game. If you want something done, do it yourself. Or come with a better idea how should NPCs do it for your because this suggestion sucks hard.

Aye, this is more of a text based game solution. Though theres nothing intrinsically wrong with the idea.

Thieves will just steal it all from the brahmin even more easily cus it will just sit there, and because those normal mines are gaurded the merc couldn't do shit.

I was thinking this especially for lone players, but probably it will just be too imba if a clan starts to use them intensively. Ok, ok, you can consider this proposal dead :D

Actually, the only thing I can think of is making slave-based shops.

Youd put the slave in some guarded town and tell him to sell your items (for caps) or barter (there would be a line what do you accept: ammo/armor/guns/misc and only the things you want would be accepted)

I dont know if this is a good idea as it would spawn a hell of barter NPCs hehe

but if the slave get's suicide bommed?
