I've been thinking, that since there are 4 proffesion slots why not add some single-level profesions, here's some examples.
Gardener: Has the ability to plant fruits and spore plants, however, these spore plants are unlike most, they do not have spore-spitting capabilities, but are perfectfor guarding an entrance since I propose that they push the person who did not plant them away from them, good for keeping people away from storage spaces in bases. Not only that but they can create fertiliser and plant fruits. The spore plants and fruit plants appear on the map 72 hours after planting to stop farming your ass off. And the fruit plants are ONE use only, once you pick them they're gone for good, however picking them like this does not add to your gathering cooldown.
-Can be trained at a gardener NPC
-Costs 2000 caps
-The gardener NPC sells fertiliser if you're lazy.
-1Charima characters allowed to take the proffesion (called oddjob for a reason)
-Fertiliser: can be crafted from 2xChem Components and 5xBrahmin Shits
-Fertiliser can be used on fruits and spore plant spikes to create Spore plant Sprouts and Fruit Plant Sprouts.
-Fertiliser could use the bag Sprite, as could the sprouts.
-Dropping the Sprout will make it look like a Xander root
-After 72 hours of being on the ground the Plant "Model" Appears
-Spore Plants are non-hostile, they only push people away when the person gets too close.
-They get shot by town guards if they appear in a town.
-Spore plants can be Dug up with a shovel, thus putting 25 Kg of spore plant in your inventory and then be relocated.
-Since Domesticated Spore Plants cannot move or do hostile actions they do not count towards your companion limit.
Brahmin Herdsman
This proffesion is all about keeping brahmin, this being a really simple one.
-Can be learned at any brahmin Dealer
-2000 caps, or 4000 caps
-The cheaper one gives two Brahmin-exclusive companion slots and increases your global follower limit by 10 (these 10 slots are exclusive for brahmin)
-The second one (more expensive one) gives 5 brahmin exclusive slots and gives you 18 global slots for brahmin only, and you get a free brahmin.
-You can upgrade your cheaper one to a more expensive one for 2000 caps, but you do not get that free brahmin if you only upgrade.
Trapper
-You can learn this one at klamath from that guy in Buckners bar you save from the toxic caves in FO2.
-This costs you 400 caps.
-The benefit of it is that instead of getting one gecko skin and brahmin hide from the corpses you get two instead, and the geckos are not hostile to you until you fire off the first shot.
-
I like the concept.
especially if the some of the oddjobs can play off of your main profession;
big gunners/demolition profs might like the farmer prof because they can grow the fruit they need for distilling.
an armourer can make use of the trapper prof to gain the pelts they need, etc.
-
I really like it. For the first time some professions which not include combat in one or another meaning.
That Gardener thing was already suggested (by me :P ), but I like how you added some things to it.

This sound kinda fun ;)
maybe it just need something more to add.. like surf says.

My favorite. TIME TO BRING ON THE BRAHMIN LEGION!!!

18 52 hp brahmin don't matter, all they could ever be used for would be a pointless distraction in TC, you'd kill the defenders through makiing them fall off their chairs in laughter, it would be really sweet for some 1 charisma characters to get proffesions without using drugs to get em, I for one feel like there is so much mising than that of shooting dumbshit slavers constantly, and only going to my tent when I need to dump the tonnes of tier 1 ammo I find... Mainly there for the stims and reputation redemption... Being a 1charisma loner is beyond boring... I got over 500 stims now, all totally unused, about 10k 10mm ammo and 6k .44 JHP slugs :'( Sticking around in towns shouting for mentats in town just doesn't cut it...

yeah, this suggestion look good, it could connect to food system suggestion, just a little improvments and it would be great

Great idea, maybe players start some real life in game - like farming, garding and other stuff. But giving a slot for that kind off professions its risky. So maybe players could just learn somewhere features like that. For cash or in kind off repitable - works for someone (like brahmin Dealer - bring 30 brahmin and i teach you). Giving players some off does proffesion without spending proffesion slots its a small priece for getting new kind off players, more RPG players. Just imagine all this farms (having oportunity to have my own farm well b great feature too) around the world (find-able via encouter for example or when you wanna show friends position of your farm - via radio signal), and all this players living with they own, more peacfull lives.

brahmin herdsman lvl 2 (4k caps) would also create brahmin pens out of 50x wood :p. I like the general idea
-
@kraskish, this is a problem here, we don't have dynamic maps, if we had then im sure there would be possible already to create a buildings so adding objects to map without reloading map is impossible for now, and also im sure devs already somehow work on this, dynamic maps is primary conditions to make such features

Well it could work in a similar way setting up a tent does. Simply your map with the tent would be replaced by map with the tent and a brahmin pen. Using science on wood I suppose?
-
and this is why we cannot use this because when map is reloaded all stuff vanish so if you have base filled to edge with stuff and you make a brahmin pen then it all vanish

correct me if I am wrong, but there was situations in former Fallout, where map was reloaded without any items disappearing (for example blowing up the toilet in Modoc)
-
Items didn't dissapear back then? Are you sure?
-
fonline is not fallout, each other have diffrent engines, the only things what connect this two is graphics, sounds, world
-
Anyway dont be so lazy, if you want to have impressive garden/tent you should be able to take a little effort and to place your items somewhere for 5 mins :p
-
well its pretty hard to put "somewhere" stuff what most of players have, transporting 100+ metal armors and other shit would be pretty hard dont ya think?

Well if you gonna take such perks like this, you probably have somebody other to craft such armors :D alternatively, you can sell them posting a new topic on the forum and put the cash to the bank :p
-
well we are bit carried away from the topic but first, we dont craft them, and second, we dont sell them

I think more generic jobs available to everyone, like shit shovelling, would be easier to introduce than professions.
Even if you're getting paid to dump 'Dead body' items in graves rather than clicking bits of poop, it'll at least give a bit of variation.
-
Yeah, I would actually love to see the golgotha map larger, semi-guarded, with a job given to you to dig graves :p
-
there is one problem, game is developed in pvp/pve direction, it would be nice to see something diffrent than constant killing
-
I just like the thought of various odd jobs available in every city, or delivery missions between any city. I don't think anybody's got rich from shovelling shit or delivering jerky.

i would also say so.
maybe gving this professions more opportunities..gardener can make poison to make poisoned needler cartridge, reduce the gathering time from collecting xander and brocs; trappers can build traps to collecting gecko pelts or humans :D, building mines , cowboys (:P) can build bigger better tents with better storage capacities, maybe also can handle a primitive btucherjob to get meat (but no so effctive)
. gravedigger job profession would be nice :D, can collect the bodyies in pvp town and getting 10 percent of loot as reward :D
maybe transporter jobs, guardering trains or private mines or even town as some sort of gang private security service :D

If we ever reach the point where you can be a post-apocalyptic trucker I will be a happy man.

Diversifyin' player experience and economy!
+1
I was working as a fluffer for the Corsican Brothers but then Cocaine.Talk took the job... and, boy, can he suck. Now I'm gonna ask mister Wright if he needs someone to stir his booze pools.
