Title: Does "(blocking)" ever go away?

Okay so I lagged (well the actual server didn't lag, I just was doing something not on the computer, and I didn't realize I had stopped on a gate) next to a Brahmin pen gate, and it now says "(blocking)" over my head. I know what this means, and I really don't want to be killed. Does this sign over your head EVER go away? Or do you have to be killed to reset it?

Edit: Also, I'm assuming there is no way to get it so that the gaurds will protect you again?

How to remove this annoying flag..?
I'm sure that if you're killed it will be removed, but I wonder if it remaisn if you leave the city or just wait for a long enough period.

Wait, it will dissapear itself after some time (like one day). -100 reputation penalty will unfortunatelly stay.
