Yeah kind of not so new thing to the game but.... I've just been wondering this for a while. As I've been playing for a while I generally have plenty caps and plenty ways to suit my needs but I've been wondering what the community thinks of the new system.
Personally I Rarely find a decent amount of caps to sell my stuff to a vendor but its not too bad since I have alot cap connections.
-
Except the banks, the current system seems to be alright. But I'm not a trader, so...
-
i think im this systems biggest critic and the best argument ive gotten from the devs back is essentially a because i said so. theres nothing any of us can really do about it, once theyve made up their minds they usually stick with it. remember fun=bad

Care to explain the difference between this new system and the old one? This is all I have ever known.
It isn't too hard to find caps from vendors, you just need to be lucky.
Also if you're willing to go to places like Fortress in search of caps.

All i REALLY know is that the cap refresh was raise to every 6 hours.... so 4 refreshes a day... For 500 players...
Although generally 350 but players still.

As an occasional player i dislike it. It became hard to find vendors with money, especially when i want to sell crafted chemstuff - medic supplies. Of course there are ways to know when and where to go - all u need is radio and alot of friends, but im more of a loner here.
-
I can't say I like or dislike it.
However it makes things harder for people wanting to buy bases.
It makes things really hard for new players, especially if they have a 1 CH character.

Currently happy with how much is coming from Traders. "Caps" industries (which currently means Brahmin trading and selling Slaves) are a little low.
Boosting these things so they are a) worth bothing with and b) the source of inter-player competition will happen in the future. Perhaps a boost to TC reward caps too.
Of course keep in mind that, getting bases should not be easy, nor should getting caps to trade (Barter skill is there to trade without using caps).

Happy, sometime I go to Sf or New reno and I see more than 10k waiting for lucky traders, it is right for me than a sucessful trader must walk around the map as a caravan does... Visit different place horray ;)

and try not to get shot during your travels

I think caps are kinda hard to get, but yet not so much... i could easily make 10k in 2 days with a bit of luck selling stuff between sf/new reno/boneyard... so i guess it's ok, flooding world with caps would be not a great idea for sure

I think it's good as it is...
Wouldn't want a Diablo II scenario where the form of currency is completely worthless.

But in this game the only real reason for caps is mercs and bases both which are VERY hard to aqcuire due to the large shortage.

Some people buy weapons and armor. I have sold weapons and armor for caps.

Yes, caps work as a way to buy accross different trader types.
