Title: How to make a slave mine resources for you?

I'm in a protected mine, I talk to my slave but I can't see the option to make him gather ore/minerals for me. How can I do this please?

Put him right in front of some rocks, you should get the grammatically incorrect option displayed,

"I want you to digg me some minerals."

He will stand there for about 10 seconds before actually getting to work.

I've been told you don't need to give him a sledgehammer, but I always do, so I'm not sure if you need to or not.

Thanks Dylan. Any kind of slave would do it, right?

I'm using land wanderer, and it won't work.

I think any slave is supposed to be able to mine.  Make sure hes standing right point-blank against the rock before you attempt to tell him to mine.

I swear by baby jesus I was doing it right, as instructed. Will contact GM. Last night my slaves were bugged somewhow they wouldnt' follow me outside tent.

Just for the record, this feature is currently only working proper at the NCR mining site.

Just for  the record, those slaves always get cleaned out by thieves so why bother?

A slave at Gecko mined minerals correctly.

What i've learned is..

Your follower must be healed to mine
NCR Works, but some other places do too
Any Slave works
No need for a sledge they mine with their hands.
