In the long run, if you are crafting to sell, you want to be making ammo and not guns or armour. That being said, you also want to get the most money from the lowest amount of gathering cooldown. Assuming you don't have regular access to HQ minerals, you want to be making .44 Magnum FMJl. Here's some math to back it up:
- 9mm ball x50 = 6 mining resources (2 iron + 4 minerals).... at 7$ per bullet, 50x7 = $350/7... you get $50.00 per mining resource
- Shotgun shells x50 = 8 mining resources (2 iron + 6 minerals).... at 9$ per bullet, 50x9 = $450/8... you get $56.25 per mining resource
- 10mm JHP x50 = 8 mining resources (2 iron + 6 minerals).... at 9$ per bullet, 50x9 = $450/8... you get $56.25 per mining resource
- .44 Magnum JHP x50 = 7 mining resources (2 iron + 5 minerals).... at 8$ per bullet, 50x8 = $400/7... you get $57.14 per mining resource
- 10mm AP x50 = 10 mining resources (2 iron + 8 minerals).... at 12$ per bullet, 50x12 = $600/10... you get $60.00 per mining resource
- .45 Caliber FMJ x50 = 5 mining resources (2 iron + 3 minerals).... at 6$ per bullet, 50x6 = $300/5... you get $60.00 per mining resource
- .44 Magnum FMJ x50 = 8 mining resources (2 iron + 6 minerals).... at 10$ per bullet, 50x10 = $500/8... you get $62.50 per mining resource
5mm JHP makes 70$ per mining resource but you have to factor in the 1 Junk. Taking that into account it's more time consuming and not as profitable.

:o very nice, thanks!

But you practically get the resources for free by mining so just use the default amount of caps worth.
-
Frags net $500 per batch of 5, with 1 Junk, 1 Metal Part ( 2 iron ores), 5 Minerals.
$71 per resource aside from junk.
But then there's that darn Junk mucking up the equation.
Or is that 1 Metal Part and 2 junks?
Ah, forget it.
Small Energy Cells?
Alloy (2 ore, 2 Mineral), 1 MP (2 ore), 2 EP.
$500 for 8 resources. No... that's only $40 each.
Crap.
There are better things, but you must find out for yourself.
Or craft .44 FMJ as suggested earlier.

Frags would be good if you had the profession. Small energy cells are good too but Electronic parts are a hassle to get.

Unless your crafting cooldown is maxed, you might as craft ammo instead of just selling Gunpowder and metal parts --> Bonus XP to boot.
Actually, Desert Eagle (w/ extended mag) are a good one too:
6 mining resources (4 iron + 2 minerals) + 1 wood (which is essentially free because you can gather loads at a time....$380/6 = $63.3 per mining resource
Slap on 1 piece of Junk for an extended magazine and it sells for $550...$170 extra for a piece of junk is worth it to me.

El. parts isn't so annyoning, you'll get ~16 or ~18 el. parts for one go.
50 small energy cells = 500 caps.
Well, I tryed to make small energy cells, metal+alloy=360 caps.
2 El. parts =very low, can't remember, may be 14 caps per 1, so you getting ~100 caps more, if crafting small energy cells and then sell them, instead of selling raw materials.
BUT it'll be faster to not gather el. parts, but gather anything else (minerals/ore no matter) and then make gunpowder/meta/allloy(no matter again) and sell it... better than small energy cells.
About frag grenades, it was an excellent choice before update, now it's x5, 104 caps each, so it's 520 caps.
Requirements:
1 Junk, 1 Metal Part ( 2 iron ores), 5 Minerals.
Are you sure?
2 Junk, 1 Metal part and 5 Gunpowder.
So it's 60x5+120+forgotx2=420+x2 caps.
As I can remember 1 junk is 25 caps, may be not... so it's 470 caps.
520-470=50 caps income, isn't so much...

You generally get:
$2000 an hour crafting Level 0
$3000 an hour crafting Level 1
$4000 an hour crafting Level 2
$5000 an hour crafting Level 3
Figures are slightly squewed at the moment because not all gathering timeouts are totally corect yet, Junk is 3 times too long for example.
But the general rule is the more high tech an item, the more you will make per unit time.

The best is Energy expert 3 .
You can make rippers for 2,5k caps each for new - mats: 1x good quality alloys and 1x gmp, :).
