Just wanted a dev to confirm the % as a lot of players don't know this.
-
It adds, (60% + 4*Luck)/100*Aim bonus (The old Aim bonus from Fallout)
Aim Bonus is
60% Eyes
40% Head
30% Groin
30% Arms
20% Legs
0% Torso
-
Thanks for the info!
Might I suggest adding an entry on the wiki containing the critical table?
Unless it is already there and my search-fu utterly fails (seems more likely, but my rep was never an issue to start with :D)
Edit: Um, indulge my low intellect score... Doesn't the aim bonus being featured in the denominator -decrease- the bonus itself?
Unless there's a missing parenthasis there and the formula is ((60% + 4*L)/100)*Aim Bonus?

I don't think they will share the critical table with their players, but we can still hope ;p.

Thank you for sharing this. But why does Torso have no aimed bonus chance? It still takes the extra AP to aim a the torso, so I think it should get some sort of chance, but whatever. I guess it's fine.
-
The extra critical chance is the same as the penalty to hit, there is no extra penalty to hit, so theres no bonus to crit. Extra AP can be explained by you still getting a bonus from a critical to the Torso.
-
And how "Critical chance" affects this formula? More critical perks and Finesse trait.
(60% + 4*Luck)/100*Aim bonus+Critical chance?
I mean, LK10, x3 more critical. 10+3x5=25%
Eyes:
(60+40)/100*60=60%
60%+25%=85%?
-
Thats correct

wow wow, slow down can some explain it to me in simple language? You have 85% crit chance when aiming eyes with such char?

Well.. it's obvious ;p
All you need is you LK and Critical Chance.
Then input LK in a formula and then add your Critical Chance to result.
-
35% chance (10 Luck + 3x More Critical + Finesse) gets you 95% chance :D
-
35% chance (10 Luck + 3x More Critical + Finesse) gets you 95% chance :D
or 35% chance (10 Luck + Haymaker + Finesse) gets you 95% chance
-
Wow guys Im amazed... making a Lucky sniper :D
Another question related...Are crits without finesse stronger than crits with finesse?
-
Are crits without finesse stronger than crits with finesse?
Without finesse stronger...
Because the only thing that doing Finesse is increasing your critical chance on 10%, but increasing DR of a target on 30%.
With Finesse you'll crit more often, but damage always will be lower.
Finesse is must-have for cripplers, who don't care about damage, because hands have low critical multiplier, so Finesse gives alot advantage.
If you want to do damage, then don't pick Finesse.

eyeshots almost always do full damage

eyeshots almost always do full damage
Well, as I know Finesse's drawback applays always, even if you've scored armor bypass. So in the best way you'll deal 70% of damage, worst way is no damage (that's what you'll usually do with non-crit and finesse all the time).
But if you're crippler, who cares about damage? Grab a BB gun, and start shoot everyone for no damage and cripple hands.
The only case where Finesse is ignored is insta-kill.
-
strange, i got once an eyeshot for 3 damage on a normal rat with a sniper rifle...i didn't have finesse with that character...

Afaik armour bypasses ignore the 30%
-
Afaik armour bypasses ignore the 30%
Well then it's a perk, not a trait, and should be fixed. ;p
i got once
When? After that update where all critters became a bit.. stronger? Probably that normal rat has a bit more DR...
-

Bypass crits don't happen all the time
-
Armor bypass ignore the 30% DR modifier, as intended.
Unless there's a missing parenthasis there and the formula is ((60% + 4*L)/100)*Aim Bonus?
The extra parentheses are not required, it's (60% + 4*L)/100*Aim Bonus.

Indeed. My apologies.
In self-defense I'll just add that I'm still recovering from work in a custom recursive logic language with the compiler being provided by subcontracted Indian company... We did run into right-to-left processing under certain conditions, among other fun "features."
*Shudder*
You don't want to know.
