ok well, here goes. i. hate. ghouls. its not like i dont have a reason though, they have proved time and time again to be the bane of my existence, finally got like 10k from a merchant trip, 1 square away from base, 140 outdoors, got 107 hp and 10 ap. i get dropped in with the crazies, boom head shot -2 from 107hp in one shot before i could even get out of range. soo i pick up my head, keep on movin. try to go sell some more shit some where else, dropped into crazies and ants, groin shot for 50 after i moved 20 hexes away in two rounds. the only thing i can keep thinking to myself is, man i really hate ghouls, its as if they have some monster perception, i dont understand it, arent they essentially rotting corpses??!! i think its a safe bet to assume 90% of ghouls would have horrible freakin eyesight due to their eyes either not being there or rotting. ugh, goddamn ghouls.

You should learn a bit more about the world of Fallout. ;)
Yes, ghouls have amazingly high perception, that's why they mostly prefer rifles for sniping.
Also, no they aren't just rotten corpses...
-
they're pretty much humans who survived a masive load of radiation.
-
yeah but i guess what im saying is it doesnt make sense that they would have good perception, mostly due to the fact that their bodies are rotting, not getting better. so i really dont see how they could even approach normal stats, agility perception and strength should all be affected by decay and thats exactly what a ghoul does. they are literally falling apart.
also i dont really see how they would have better perception then humans considering that this is based on eyesight and what you take from it, the better your eyesight the more you would observe. i think giving ghouls a higher perception then humans is an oversight.

They aren't falling apart. It's just their skin which is burnt.
Also, Perception determines not only the ability to see something. Their biology changed due to the radiation.
The high perception for ghouls is not an oversight, it's intended to be so. Even in FO1/2 their perception was high.

case and point, see the eye? yeah only one, and its been mutated over on top of being gone, oh and what about ears?? yeah they're gone.
"All ghouls live longer than normal humans. The reason for this longevity has to do with differences on the cellular level, and the ability of ghoul DNA to regenerate at a rate unmatched by normal human nucleic acids. Ocassionally, in a ghoul, additional genetic material is added as a result of the mutation[3]. The unnaturally long lifespan of a ghoul is also due to a mutation within the autonomic nervous system of certain individuals following exposure to specific combinations of ionizing radiation with wavelengths below 10 picometers. Radiation that has such a short wavelength, less than 10 picometers, is known as gamma radiation and is normally lethal to healthy humans in even moderate doses. The mutation in response to gamma radiation that produces ghouls disrupts the normal process of decay in the neurotransmitters along the spinal cord."
so basically everything outwards is fucked and their system keeps some of their insides from degenerating, but its apparent eye balls suffer the rath of necrosis.

telepathic abilities maybe? or maybe they're skilled in Zen shooting, you gotta go something when nobody i looking, and playing with yourself if you're a ghoul may get messy, and not in a good way.
-
There is no need to discuss this, as ghouls were pretty good snipers since the first Fallout game. ;)
That's no oversight. I can understand your anger about losing stuff at them, but they aren't just canon fodder or "Zombies".

Ghoul Crazies have Pe 5
http://www.fanmadefallout.com/procrit/?crit=225

that can't be accurate, especially not that skill level of small guns, tested it out, they should have no chance whatsoever to hit a guy in CA from 30 hexes, but they just never miss....
-
The solution is simple. Don't be a noob.
-
nah, i just went and tested it a moment ago, for the shits and giggles, and well, yeah, my point is my previous post.

The Pe is correct, skills change with level.
-
Equality of rights for Ghouls !!! Not only for Humans !!!

so with me being level 21 what would their pe be at that point? or are we speaking about ghoul mercs?
aaaaaahaaaaaa!! freaking luck 9??!! that would explain why these fuckers are crit machines, do they get perks as they level up? im not really sure how the system works.

They're simply npc controlled players in the game technically...
Yes they get perks but idk if they take them or just keep lvling.

We're talking about the critters level themselves. This is decided by the difficulty of the zone.
They (currently) get no perks as they level
-
That (currently) sure sounds ominous.
-
Just be happy we don't have tactics ghouls with 13 pe
