Hi All!Sorry if that topic exist!
what abbout of returning old XP system? ::) ???
Sorry abaut my english! :P
-
What old XP system? So far as I can see the system used is cannon Fallout.
-
What you mean make it so that XP diminishes? Hell no, it will be just that much harder to level up, especially since this is only beta.
-
agreed diminishing xp was worst thing ever + it has no use now. you would just cripple newbies.
-
Oh geez, that's all we need is a leveling treadmill. No thanks.
By the way, this is the wrong section for this. It should go in Suggestions (or more to the point, Closed Suggestions)

Its Beta test. Players want testing characters and not waiting 2 weeks on one character. And if you have very easy game just try PvP.

It may surprise you, but the actual levelling process has also to be tested.

Yeah and if you've ever done any testing you'd know that is done at the end of testing and testers have full access to debug and/or cheats to test all areas of the game in a timely fashion. But that's in a professional setting with people who know what they are doing, not just a random group of people.
But all of this is besides the point, grinding in now way increases the value of anything, if you think a game should be filled with massive time sinks you must not have much going on. Pve is always the same and gets boring fast with encounters being predictable and ai not posing any challenge other than dumb luck. The fun comes with pvp and that's only at max level.
-

So FO is not a good game for you. FO is a RPG, not a shoot'em up. Every player should have the possibility to have fun at whatever level.
But maybe you're a FPS fan and RP is just bullshit for you.

You just said that to a player who played the game 10 times longer and more than you and knows it trough twenty times you'l ever know, greenhorn.

And who are you to say that ? do you know me ? Numbers or post in a forum don't give any idea about the time spent ingame. And a player can spend years here, FO is still a RPG, not a shoot'em up.
-
FO is still a RPG, not a shoot'em up.
That, in any way, doesnt change the FACT that PvE is repetitive whereas boring, and apart from RP (wich is liked only by some players) PvP is the only normal endgame activity (im kinda saying 1:1 Roachor did) wich starts on lvl 21.

Back to topic, gentlemen. Whether this game is this or that is not relevant for this discussion.

I don't think we will return to diminishing XP, but we will have a dynamic XP system where you get XP in proportion to how hard a critter is to kill.

IMO we lack some big group quest, where all the group gain xp, and gain more than 1.000, but more like 10.000-20.000.
Also, it's sure that mutated molerat so easy to kill should give less xp (or insta kill nerfed ;p) and fire gecko should give more.

Yup, both would be nice. In the future I'm sure you'll see it.

For rats, yes.
fire gecko should give more.
It would be derived from an as yet unspecified equation, so Fire Geckos would give more than now, almost certainly :P

Do you mean this in a way, that at level 1, scorpions give full xp. But every level they give less xp because they are to easy to kill?

That's a much better mechanic

If by level 1 you mean the scorpions level, then yes.
-

i want you to also take notice, that most critters has very much hp, but very lack doing damage, so i think first thing should be lowered and second increased :> since now critters like mutated molerats 126-136 or tough golden geckos with 113 hp still suck with their 0 damage against 2x toughness so killing them isnt harder at all just more boring :>
-

No I mean it like this:
You are level 1,
The scorpions give full xp.
You are level 2,
Scorpions give 95% of their xp.
You are level 3,
Scorpions give 90% of their xp.
etc etc (just an example)
Other critters dont degrade till a certain level, and other critters never have degrading xp.
That's the xp system I had in mind.
-
Critters would just give an amount of xp that their difficulty deserved. If you really wanted to go killing very easy critters for tiny xp when you are a death dealing machine its your own business. Doesn't need any diminishing from player level.

I understand, I just explained what I meant :)
