waiting for 10 min realtime defeats the purpose of using the train to get places quickly as even a low outdoor char can get places faster.

Did you know that you get no encounters with trains?
Also this "+1" stuff is somewhat annoying me, I have to say.

No, but seriously, they're right. Please stop with all these " +1 " posts. I will simply delete them in the future.
If you like a post of someone, don't just write +1, explain what you like about it.

well most of encounters are escapable, and if you need to wait like 15 minutes in real time, then mostly it results in try to walk on foot rather then use train :> So i see a solution for that making second train which would run in 3 game hours difference from 1 or double speed the train :>
-
hahahaha.
funny, somehow is funny.
When I was doing the "Man's Job" I spend 30 minutes just waiting the train that always was going to wrong city :S sh!t was better if I had the roachor's idea and go walk for 10 minutes.

Yah except you can't discover train stations without going to them via train first because WHO COULD POSSIBLY EVER FIND A PLACE WITH TRACKS LEADING DIRECTLY TO IT.
-
;D nice observation
Btw, the only station that you can't find by yourself is from SF I guess.. The others justo get some quest that gives the location...

The +1's come from the fact that the people would prefer this topic have a poll to it. So I guess if a mod, dev, etc.. starts seeing +1's add poll?

I know from where it comes, but it just makes me ignore the whole thread.
There will not be a second train and the time will not be changed. Guess we have to nerf outdoorsman then.

Deleted spam.

I get it now, he's pissed off because the train was his idea. I wish you would ignore my threads lexx, since when you post in them you ignore the games player base anyways.

If you can find a gas station in the middle of a huge desert you should be able to see a train station just outside of town. I'm not sure what you meant about sf since you can only find it by doing the whole tour from VC.

Aye never really does make sense.
Now seeing as we're following the logical train of thought, why isn't there some form of train timetable available at each station?
It certainly would help, but seriously I mean if we can still maintain a train then whacking out a timetable should be a cinch for them. Hell if there that stingy on paper how about a holodisk you can buy from each station that puts a copy of the timetables in to your pipboy.

By what I know SF station can only be found taking train from Boneyard.

all the stations are like that, you need a quest to see the first.
-
No man,
Boneyard Station - Man's Job quest
Vault City Station - Research for Doctor quest
NCR Station - Kill Raiders something quest
San Francisc - ?
-
Just take one round through the wasteland with the train and you see them all.

Actually its just Boneyard and VC that have quests that show the station location, afaik.

I don't see why nerfing everything is the answer. It's the issue with cars, and now with the train. High enough outdoorsman makes you much faster than both. Why not make the cars and train faster? If we're paying x amount of caps for a car that is likely going to get stolen, why not make it fast enough to be worth it? And it's a train. Should be faster than both walking and driving. Is there a legitimate reason we won't get a second train, or is it just some kind of stubbornness?
-
would make train much more useful

Well let's not nerf a perfectly fine skill please =) It's already a big sacrifice to get your outdoorsman to 200%. And then it still isn't perfect. So I think it's pretty balanced.
Btw, I noticed that when having more people in your party that it becomes harder to avoid encounters?

Because than more people, than more critter would spawn, than more critters than less chance avoid encounter?

Wrong. It's how _Youkai_ wrote.

Man, you know more about me than I.
Trick question: If I ignore the playerbase, why am I reading every single thread and post in many of them?
