He? Personally I see that as a female, not as a male. I suppose it's how you look the picture.

Me too, a bunch actually. Surely would be a surprise for anyone to enter a lair in a hope for some loot just to find these creatures by the doorstep.

It's a Wanamingo, a creature created by FEV experiments.
I don't think they're meant to have genders.

F2 - Redding - Mine - Wanamingo Mother?
@edit
Wanamingo Queen to be exact + eggs that she lays :)

F2 - Redding - Mine - Wanamingo Mother?
Good point, but I really don't see the argument supporting the Wanamingo in the picture is of male or female gender, seeing as we've only ever properly seen them from an isometric view.

Wanamingos are not creation of F.E.V., nobody knows where they came from(according to the F2 canon).
Great picture anyway ;)

It says so in the Fallout Bible.
Wanamingo on The Vault Wiki (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wanamingo)
A section of Fallout Bible explaining Wanamingos (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Bible_2#Wannamingoes_update)
They were designed as FEV-tailored weapons for waging war on other countries and they escaped into the wastes.[1] (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Bible_0)

Looks like

for me. Totally a deja-vu.
Looks great!

Nice work, is it watercolour?
-
It's made in Corel Painter IX, with a tablet. I used mostly oil paint tools but yeah it looks a bit like watercolours.
-
It must be very very happy :) I mean this wanamingo and You that You have such skill. Good job!

They along with the centaurs and floaters were created by a scientist in the EPA. Fallout restoration ftw.
-
awesome!! ;D
-
Jovanka, is that your work?
-
yeah, but it's painted over the wireframe wanamingo pose from aiming window:
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/e/e9/Fo2_Render_Wanamingo.png
so I wouldn't call it 100% mine :P
-
It still doesn't beat the fact that it looks good.
Keep practicing, we need concept artists.

Methinks you wouldn't be able to tell apart a female from a male wanamingo in any view possible. If I'm not mistaken, while aim-shooting at a Wanamingo in Fallout 2, the groin region shows as ???????. Therefore, I'll say that "it looks hideous". I mean, a very good picture of a hideous creature :)
Next time draw a rat, will ya?
-
I thought wanamingos don't have eyes. They make it look like a dolphin.

Eyes?
Something... like... eyes then. :)
