Yesterday I've gone to the Gunrunners shop to buy some energy weapons. One thing has suprised me a lot - items cost is a lot different!
Take a laser rifle and plasma pistol as example.
Laser rifle brand new cost 4025caps if I remember well. I've bough one with 51% det. for 840caps.
Then I've noticed they got also plasma pistols in strore, how big suprise I have when I've saw the price - ~3800 for 0% det. then I've started looking for more damaged. I've found 53% det. and the price was almost the same - ~3500caps! Same with 83% det. - price was 3200caps.
In sum laser rifle cost is decreasing depending on the deterioration, plasma pistol - price is almost not-changeable.
I don't think that should be like is now so I am asking for fix it ASAP :)
-
The prices are affected by broken count, not det.
-
Also affected by ammo in clip, for example smg with 30/30 10mm jhp is 30 x 9 (base price) = +270caps to weapon without ammo.
-
But both plasma pistols were with ammo inside.
Anyway, what's the proper price of plasma pistol 0% det. and how the price increases after det. increase?
-
I think... there might be one more thing.
If that was plasma pistol with extended magazines then i have solution. One plasma ext. was created from low det. plasma pistol. It affects speed of weapon destroying so probably it also affects price.
-
Both was normal, both was unloaded, one had 0% det and costs 3800caps and the another had 53% det. and price was not much lower.

On which place is it in TODO list, if it is there...? :P
A bit not in topic but I am just curious: when are you planning to make next WIPE?
-
Its not on the todo list, its meant to work on the broken count and not on det.
Wipe isn't being discussed at all currently
-
If I understood you well you are saying that gun price is dependable from how many this gun was broken. What will you tell then if I say that pistols were both non-repaired? ::)
PS
You still can check prices in there. Gunrunners still got them.
-
You crafted them both?
-
Nope, but if a weapon was broken it should be repaired if it has 0% det atm.
On this one with 0% det. wasn't written anything about repairing before so I think it wasn't and it's brand-new.
On this one with 53% det. there is no description about repairing before so I think it wasn't repaired anytime.
-
If you got them from an encounter then they will have had a random broken count assigned to them.
-
It was from the shop store. I wanted to buy one pistol, not to sell.
And also if item has 0% det. it's almost for sure not from encounter, don't ya think?

But 53% one can be from Enclave patrol or something...
Anyway both can have different prices and same prices.
Way 1) 0% det pistol is new, has 100% price, 53% in new too, just deteriorated, never been repaired, has 100% of it's price.
Way 2) 0% det pistol is new, has 100% price, 53% is from encounter and has random breaking... or whatever stuff, so prices will be different.
-
So what? You've lost in the topic?
The main problem is that pistol with 53% det. has almost same price as 0% det. Both are not repaired, not broken, not ext. mag.

Then someone took 0% pistol, probably crafted, then shoot some guys with it till 53%, and then sold it to NPC. It has never been repaired, so it must have the same price.
What I can confirm on 100%, because I did it myself:
Sniper rifle with 22% deterioration = 5005 caps, sniper rifle with 0% deterioration = 5005 caps.
When I had deteriorated sniper rifle, I simply went to San Fran or Gunrunners, and exchanged my deteriorated sniper rifle on new. It was very long time ago, like 2-3 week after wipe.
-
That's stupid and should be changed.
Item prices should be dependable of damage.
-

-
Lmao, I know how it is, I am saying to change it because it's ridiculous when deterioration has nothing to say in the price of an item...
-
Do items from random encounters get their 'broken' count too? There's no indication about repairs in the description.. Because I've been able to exchange almost broken weaponry 80-90% det for same but newer items 50-60% det at the shop with a profit...
