Title: Killing traders is getting out of hand
Post by: Roachor on May 23, 2010, 12:27:14 am
I really hope the devs realize that being able to kill traders isn't possible in any other mmo for a reason. Every trader in a "safe" town is dead right now and its been happening all day. The respawns are incredibly slow and it's getting to the point where the economy grinds to a halt. There is already intense competition for caps in trader inventories and now its worse.

So then go to "unsafe" town?

+1

NCR is not an only safe town. I see almost all time caps in SF traders.

I'm lvl 5, not only do i risk dying trying to get into sf when most likely the traders are dead there too. That and it's really out of the way.

What purpose does it even serve, to kill the traders?

Or is it just players who like to spoil everyone else's game.

There are some mindless players out there.

Lack of female chars is problem in making love I think.

Not to mention that most "female" characters are really cross dressers.

I ve seen a guy saying he kill traders to make them drop "all their shit" because with some time a trader inventory become impossible to scroll in 30 secondes the fault mainly to radios that don't stack.

Maybe this would help having more traders alive, and anyway help those who want to trade, but if radios can be stackable items, that would be great, simply reset their chanel upon selling so that they are all the same at merchant.
The same about weapons, those with same det should stack, and if it's not enough, make them empty at merchant (cause we can't do it in Fonline where it was possible in Fallout2)

those with same det should stack
It's impossible, because item can be 17.3454% det, other 17.5643%, so it's two different items.

I don't know the code, but if you can ignore the decimals it might be possible.
Newly crafted weapons have 0% det. so they can be stackable.

As for radios, I'm guessing they're not stackable due to the radio frequency.
Perhaps it should be set to 0 when a npc trader acquires one.
