Yup so my buds have already joined my gang, now i'm looking for outsiders but i just keep thinking about how I cant trust anyone lol, its hard...
so my question is how do I recruit good players in a gang that I can trust and how can I protect my loot in my base from untrustworthy players that try to rob us?
Im thinking cover the base with slaves to the point where they will shot u b4 u even see them if u turn hostile, have players show up in their blue suits (still have to watch out for plasma grenades in their hands) and maybe request a joining fee that will be refunded once trust has been built...
i know most of you players have had to deal with this, i want to read about your experiences and stories... what can you guys suggest?
i would offer the first 2 people to join a room and an lt position in the gang but I rly cant think of anything else right now i would also have to hunt with them with some good gear on to see if they would betray me in tb wen my hp is low...

We have a Doctor/ Traps, SG crafter, armourer, Bg crafter and Erg Crafter.. if you think you got wat it takes to join us then send me your requests!!

Two bases. One for regular players. Second for newcomers. But be ready to ragequit the game for few times if you will have to manage larger gang on 2 terminals. Thats like worst thing that I can think of in FOnline - base terminal.... ugh.

Make second faction and log original faction members as friends.

Use voice-com, it helps with trust issues. Also have tent near base for your stuff, I know its inconvenient, but efficient

I went the "trust no one" route last build and had a base to myself, got boring fast though.

What really sucks, when you come to your base and there are few guys, who took your stuff and kill on sight everybody coming.

i suppose i just won't let the newcomers use my depot it'l b for lts and gens only the rest of em get a free tent lol placed around the depot

Forgot to mention in application about my reasons... Well I'm bored from killing theives and bombers at NCR all day since I got so much money up my ass I'm coughing up Nuka Cola Commercial songs.

6. elicit nude pictures of your teammate's girlffriend, sisters, mothers?, grandmothers?? from your your team players, so you can blackmail them lately. This is verry effective. Why do you think that i am still online in this bugged, unbalanced, full of nerd PK game? (Hololasima has nude picture of my grandfather, so it is family pride to avoid publishing of this photo). Actualy, everyone in VSB has some blackmail stuff to another player (i have picture of Hololasima's sister). Why do you think VSB is not break up?! Only because this.

One thing that's worked well in my experience is setting up an IRC channel (to me requiring voice channel is a bit discouraging, but if that's the route you want to follow, go ahead) and posting an ad in the Faction Announcements forum-make this as descriptive as possible about your goals (RP, PvP, TC, Crafting, etc.), who you want to recruit (levels, types of players, language/country, age), and anything else that might be appealing to the right people and discouraging to the people you don't want.
In the announcement, tell them to join your channel and talk to a leader specifically, but also just to chat with the people in there. The best thing to do is to have them come to the channel at least a few times to show you that they're serious. THEN add them to the recruitment base and make them stay there until they prove to you that they're worth it to add to your team and trustworthy (I'd say at least a week, but that depends on you). Best way is to put it to a vote among all current members or at least when a majority of them are online. Unanimous vote works best, but majority always works too.

- start a communication channel - IRC, voice talk, whatever; note that not everyone can use voice communicators during night (wife, kids), shouting "FA, FA plox!" or "behind you! shoot!"
- start a forum (there is shitload of those for free) for announcements, place a vision of faction, members list, professions list
- don't underestimate crafting - it may be boring as hell, but without boomsticks and fancy clothes you will be unable to threat even a brahmin
- speaking of crafting - at least one char should be 3rd lvl Armorer, 180% Repair skill is very useful
- make at least one taxi-barter char with large CH, Outdoorsman and Barter skill, make it available for all trusted gang members
- don't count on recruiting bunch of 21-lvl players, they mostly are in a faction already

Sounds great people! When im serious about recruiting in large numbers I will do just that, in the mean time simply message me in the forum and we'll chat it up for a bit... Right now I'm just looking for a FEW more good players (I will take noobs as long as its worth it on my part) that fit into my timezone, no requirements EXCEPT being able to contribute to the gang. Eighter by skills, profs, or anything else useful.
"I don't want it to cost me caps to recruit you" so if you grab full combat gear from the base be able to replace it (or pay for it lol.) Don't take guns you aren't skilled enough to use, don't touch the other members stuff, etc.
Sounds fair enough eh? But I am not really looking for powerbuilding PVPers atleast not now UNLESS you are worth my time and can show me that you aren't going to try to blow our heads off and make us waste our ammo.

generally from what i've found most gangs don't feel to chatty, so getting a hold of them is hard at times.
as for getting good members, stash all the high end stuff in a trusted members tent and let them roam around the base, if they go a week without taking the big fancy gun you left in the weapons locker and lossing it due to a molerat bite to the groin, than they're probally alright in my book.
