Title: Message for all crybaby and dev's
Post by: Arry on April 29, 2010, 05:43:02 pm
Okey I'm totally fed up to see people complaining, whining, crying like babies. So please, dev's are doing such and AMAZING work here, and we can always read complains and f**** whine.
You think it is easy to build a game like that ? Some people have a problem do understand the term "Beta test" ? We are here to experiment the game, just have fun !

Do you think dev's likes to work on a project when people just cry ? I'm not talking about everyone of course.
They are trying to make this game better and better, so if you're bored to wait, bored to see imba sneak, ultra-nerfed sneak, imba unbalanced update, good update, and more, just quit.

I have a message for dev's team:

Thanks for the game and thank you for all you've made this far

What's the difference between crying and feedback?

Crying is always complaining, and when GM or dev said WIP they continue to cry and cry.
Feedback is not harassing people with the same crap every day and its constructive

Oh, you poor extravert man  ::). I partly agree to you - slowly 2238 is crawling up the steep volcano of being a good game. Sometimes eruptions happen and lava runs down on you, but im fine with that. Sometimes eruptions happen in my head when i read the forum (especially the suggestions one). Yeah, i join the bowing few of this topic and thank the devs for their time.

Tiny tiny line between those two...

I think it's just a matter of education.

Yes its Beta Test. And what you want doing in test ?

Reporting bugs = whining/crying
Sending suggestions = whining/crying
Tell that something is not balanced = whining/crying

Then, for what we are here ?

And yes, Devs doing good work, thanks to them, but we are testers(as they wanted) and it will be always like this. You call it crying, others call it "feedback".

You can give feedback without crying. "Crying" usually starts, when someone takes this thing too serious. Or lacks the ability to report something without being emotional. Both types of persons aren't really made to "betatest" something.

agree with thanking the devs for bringing us such a nice game. But we re here to build up the game together, so feedback (or "whining") is inevitable. I must admit this is the hardest game I ever play (and very frustrating sometimes), but I am still playing  :), waiting for more new good things to come.

I thought beta testing was serious, it has nothing to do with funny or we end up being like this: "Ahahaha! A caps exploit, how funny let's just keep it there for lulz!"  ;)

Actually there is no crying at all, only good and bad feedback.

Yet the game is meant also for them. And to be honest there is not a person on this forum that can stay away from trolling/crying/not objective posts. Maybe people who have less than 20 posts can but anyone beyond that will sooner or later turn into whiner/troll more or less. Plus its mainly matter of perspective.

Yes, but there are people expecting something. We're not here to expect things, we're here to help.
Some people think, this is just a game, to have fun to play. For sure fun is needed that testers stay at the beta.
But some folks doesn't even give a shit about reporting stuff. And then, when something's been changed in "their" game, the "whine" wave hits the forum's shore.

As Lexx said in the other topic, GMs etc. need to be much more rude to such a kind of people.

I agree with you Arry, but dev can help this situation if they give us more feedback.

Fair enough for thanking the devs, but otherwise the topic was just a rant, there was no "message"

I think if they ban everyone that cry one day or another, there will be 4 players on the game, or guys that create another account after been banned :D

That is actually the best way to describe a lot of threads going on here. ;)
If the energy some people waste to senseless discussions would be used to actually report things, to help with things, to improve things - we'd be way further.

If no one complained nothing would ever improve.

Yep, there were some times when I felt into the same crowd of "giving to much emotions into the game" crowd, I admit. ;)

But I took a brake from the game, now I just try to help out where I can and see it from a bit of a distance.
It takes a lot of pressure away when you overthink your actions here or in the game sometimes, when you stop "expecting" things and start just to report things and pull a bit of pleasure off of the little things the beta makes the fun for it.

And for those who really can't stand anything in the latest changes, there's always a possibility in learning Angelscript, creating a Stylesheet and lay your hands on the SDK if Cvet releases it. If this will be out maybe people start to realize that working on FOnline is not just messing around with a few numbers and words in a engine, or "Hm, I click here, let's see what happens" etc. I'll also try it out, but even now I know that understanding the engine takes so much time, it's just not possible to make things quicker and for everyones pleasure.

So to make it short as my leitmotif: Behave. :P

Beta tester who find something overpowered, something that is abused/exploited by others and he is not using it but instead he reports it - he is crybaby.

Whats the message for all crybabys? Stop reporting...whining and dont play if you dont like the game!

Irony^
