Nooo, damned Sha Enin.
What about damned thieves? Guards sometimes act like crazy, you need to test something, sometimes they protect thief from only one guy, but other can shoot them safely. Sometimes someone can kill thief and he'll become unprotected, and they only way is die in NCR, not in wastes, so it forces to lose reputation by attacking someone.

I'm especially annoyed with knockout/crippling when somoene hits you for 0-5 damage, it doesn't make sense at all.

It was gang-vs-gang since OBT1, you can't be succesful playing alone.
"Terminator", "No full loot drop" - whing about "nerf crits" and "I lost my spear and flint, BAD GAEM!!11". That's where I and my friends stopped playing TLA. "Hell" - whining about "too small death penalty". "No lvlcap" - which means 80-lvl chars used WPE for steal and FA grind - whining about "playing after 24 lvl is boring".

Pepper spray. Tazer. Rubber bullets. No lethal damage, but can cause some cripples.
We call low damage weapons like 10mm pistol "traumatic weapon".
I use sneaker for safe mining in unguarded mines and for some protection against thiefs when i'm going to trade. But hell, this is so imbalanced! Let's nerf miners and traders, they are so dangerous!
Now, when FOV is off, some people suffer from sneakers. When FOV is on, there lags that cause to suffer EVERYONE. Yeah, that's damn fair.

Someone who is vatly superior should win in the majority of cases, with only a slim chance of something bizzare happening. Which is what it is now.

Also if there's penalty for armor (not only carry weight), but it's impossible to make penalty for weapon, because he can keep it in off-hand, yes, it takes time to switch between bare hands and LSW, but when you're invisible and target don't expect you, it's not a problem. So weight of items must affect it really hard. So a character with SMG and leather jacket can sneak up to someone, but for bluesuiter with LSW it must be hard.

oh but it is, it is as fair as being shot from 1 hex by a minigun without seeing the bastars until after the burst hiths you, which is followed up by what, yeah, that's right another burst, but now at 2 hexes.

it shouldnt but when youve got it, and youve got BA you cant be killed by one shoot from 10mm pistol, thats not normal.you must spend a lot of time with crafting it and then you are weaker then guy with instant kills??

oh, but i do have about 10 BA right about now, don't have a CA MK2 though, i just want it because of its alternate skin, but it looks terrible on women, the BA is my Battle Armour, and the CA MK2 is my looking pretty armour, still don't have it though

If you use math as argument, you do not have to resort to insults, cause math is strong enough argument.

When you're being an ass and telling someone to learn math before they open their mouth, only to then get it wrong ... you should be embarrassed.
Given that you were talking about how criticals could be abused you should in fact have taken the max value, meaning you were closer to min 6% and max 9% off, depending on target luck.
Lessons learnt:
1. Don't be an ass.
2. Don't say "learn math" when you are not in full command of the figures.
3. People can be embarrassed for you, even if you do not have the good grace to feel the emotion yourself.

i still want to point out problem that you should able to hear people at same distance no matter if he stands in front or back of you. Now you miss many messages directed to you, and need to shout a lot yourself.

Fov (or lack of it) is completely unrelated to the server hangs and crashes, these are two different issues here. The latter actually predates the former by several weeks.

I think i have something: Mob ranged-weapon users.
Anyone noticed how they don't do nothing, just stand there waiting for the end of their turn? I got a few raider encounters that took me aprox. 20 minutes. Those mobs just stand there, get shot, wait till their 30sec turn, than wait till its over and get shot again. Is it their FoV, or is my char to perfect to shoot at it? :P

for one, they take out their weapon, skip a turn, walk towards me , skip a turn, even if they should have AP to attack, which gives me 4 bullets into their eyes, i can take out a horde of cannibals who carry rippers with a mauser now

I noticed this problem with raiders too but im not so sure its FoV because even when im right in front of them they do nothing.I feel like im waving a flag for anyone to drop in on me while these clowns take their sweet ass time.

i sometimes use my "old" Battlefield bad company, normally i go specialist because of the C4 and the bullet hose known as PP2000, love sneaking behind enemy lines and camping the chopper with 1 c4 everytime it takes off, for some reason nobody sees me, even after 3 rearms at their ammo box, in the end, i just go shooting the guy who's running to the Chopper which normally ends with me getting filled with bullets.

yeah, got it cheaply at Game (gold edition, 250SEK (about 30US$)), but i like BC2, the multiplayer bit really amazed me, DICE did a proper job, as usual, with the multiplayer bit, although the single player bit was a bit of a dissapointment.

you sir are incorrect, every night at about 12 am to 2 am the server crashes on me and my american pals, the problem for us is this is usually the only time of night we get where russian and polish activity is at a minimum and the server doesent get started back up till whoevers in charge of it wakes up and does something.

this is true. at that time there are only around 100 people on the server and when it crashes its not usually coming back up.

A bot that takes informations directly from game files. Also, keep in mind informations on wiki (Skills and HPs) are for a level 1 mob. If a Tough Deathclaw level 1 has got 310hp, a level 2 one might have 320, etc.

Ok, I spotted raiders. Two woman and man. Woman didn't have any weapon. Man had a mauser. There aren't any stimpacs or sth else.
And they had hp close to scorpions hp

The red dots probably were added with original Fallout in mind :) Because Fallout had those red dots when moving on world map.

Why is monster overpowered??? I today create new char and its impossible smash encounter alone...
Now is very unballance experience system if i will kill only npc, i will have app. 300xp for 20 minutes... if i will only traveling i will have for 20min. 1000xp
its boring kill one monster 5 minutes...
after update client i was knockouted by radscorpion with -11hp which rest... after was combat mode changing every 3 sec (turn on - turn off - turn off)
i was logouted and logged after one hour in replication center... this is bug or what?

So the already ridiculously overpowered NPCs/Mobs are now even harder to take down? What's the point of making the game impossible for new characters?
Good luck trying to kill a dog or brahmin that has 90-100hp+ and hits you consistently for 7-10 damage..
its very hard with new character, i was try it...

i thing its nonsense... after will every pk going to (zone) killing nb´s... if is exist any place with low lvl npc´s i dont found it... everywhere was npc overboosted

To all those that are struggling to kill mobs at low level. Hunt around klamath area, just lvled my new sniper toon from 1 - 4 in just over half an hour and it wasnt any harder then it used to be

Well, it wasn't me updating, so I don't have a full list of the changes.
There have always been zone difficulty so that hasn't changed, the difference you are noticing is that Critters HP level up like players does instead of the old way. At least thats what I think the change was :P

We can observe changes by effects in game, so this zones are something new for us;)

EDIT: Ok, I've seen rats in the range of 6-32hps and small radscorpions with 10-75hps..
Awareness ftw if you need to count your bullets:)

just ran into brahmin....131 hp..about 5 of them...i attacked one of them..and all 6 became hostile...i liked it better when they had 36hp and only attacked you if u attacked them....

All of the instances I have been referring to with overpowered monsters have been within a 3-square radius around NCR. Why put a high difficulty zone around NCR where new players start? That doesn't make any sense at all.
If there are going to be difficulty zones, then they should scale depending on where people start the game, not just be randomly strewn across the map.

That all have no sense. Making difficult zones, putting Deathclaws to cities where guards are so weak that they got killed in seconds, making updates without any changelogs and announcements... That's sick!

diferrences of hp were sligtly... this mod had good start, but if will continue this way, after this will only about pvp and who is on server longer...
novice will ending soon, because in low lvl zone will too much pk for hunting newbies...
its will allright, if you will still start around klamath (to the lvl 5-), where will low antipk zone...
im player what prefer tactic pvm with friend or with vagabond, i thing im not alone... after in combat come one pk with higher lvl and kill every what is alive, its spiritless.

You can always hunt around the northern edge of the map or a bit further away from towns, no one will bother you..

Nothing has changed fundamentally, if you could kill a critter before, you can still kill it now, there's just a bit more travel time involved..

There's been a rollback I think, everything is back to normal.. By the way, some people gained an extra level of skill points after today's maintenance ::)
