How the system of HtH combat works? It's pretty confusing...
Melee is HtH too or just unarmed? For example, the statistics "Melee Damage" say "the bonus damage you do in hand-to-hand combat".
So Unarmed and Melee Weapons are both HtH?
HtH Bonus (like Bonus HtH Attacks) is applied to both?

Yes, melee and unarmed is the same, the only difference is "Unarmed" skill affects your... unarmed attacks (or with knuckles/power fists/rocks), while "Melee" with knives/spears/hammers, etc.

Uhm... but what I was asking is if Hand-to-hand is Melee and Unarmed or just Unarmed, and if perks that affect HtH affect both skills as well

I just add another mechanic question with same argument:
How bonus melee damage is applied? To maximum and/or minimum damage? It works with criticals?

Getting Bonus HtH Damage I found that the Melee Bonus is applied on maximum damage
The normal punch (for example) goes from 1-11 to 1-13 dmg

yep, the minimum damage you do will stay the same, but the max rises according to your bonus damage

And you also need to keep in mind that when you crit, the bonus damage is multiplied too.
So if you choose bonus hth damage, you get 2 damage to maximum, thats an avarage of +1 dmg. But when you crit, that extra +1 damage is multiplied by 2-4.
Heavy handed pretty much eliminates effective crits, but 10str+heavy handed+3*bonus damage gives +15 damage(7,5 on average) which is quite worthwhile imo. The only suckage is that fastshot doesnt work with HtH, so heavy handed isnt really worth picking now... :/

Yeah
I usually choose Heavy Handed with my Melee build, I think is a good trait if it's not a crit build...
And without Slayer I think is better than ever :)

Since instakill crits work I'd go with a crit build, properly done you can have a 95% chance to crit and a 20% chance to instantly kill when you crit.

To be honest I'm lvling 4 chars right now and making a new unarmed one seems pretty tedious considering all the hours i already put into those types of char. I'll probably just update it for the new changes.

The problem "HtH character's can't run to targets" has been brought up multiple times and in almost every topic that discuss this combat. I'm just asking if it possible to set the default to run (Though I'm sure it is much more complicated than that) or is it Engine-based and therefore can't be changed now?

I think It can't be changed... but is not of my concern at all, I give the HtH rework other priorities, not change the entire combat system.

to tell you the truth man, your suggestion kinda suck, it wouldnt solve the main issues why hth sucks, it would just change it :>

if you could read carefully, you would find dev "solar" words in my thread "Aye, HH totally sucks. I'm sure one day in the distant furture we will get round to doing something." So i guess we should just wait :>
