Title: Following in turn based
Post by: Seiipher on April 02, 2010, 05:26:14 am
Can you follow someone in turn based? For example me and my friend tried to run from an encounter but we got separated because he couldn't follow me, Any suggestions?

You can't, have to end combat. It could be fixed by making the characters check for the leader's position on worldmap after leaving, if he's on the same spot, then you join the party.
If you need a fast solution to that problem, get 2 radios and send signals.

It's an old bug and it's annoying even for devs, but it seems that the underlying problem is very difficult as it hasn't been fixed so far.

How do you check position of the leader? O_o

i think he meens meet somewhere close and use radio as cummunication.
And indeed old bug, you can only follow the leader if you end the combat.
most of the time this means you have to kill everything in the encounter 1st.

With radio you both set your frequency to 29284398459458 or other very random number you are sure nobody has, and write /h
A red dot appears on worldmap of your encounter.

No, what  I meant to say is that the game itself should check for the leader. I had to buy a train ticket for a friend who had me tagged and was in the other side of the map because it would not let me get in, so I think the "party check" is global
