Title: Need help for thief build

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a good thief
They used to be a thread in the forum but it starts to be aged now (2010).
Any recommandation for my first thief build?

IN fact im wondering if its worth to take jinxed trait for example.
Should i put a lot in INT, in strenght?

I thought I might take bruiser for skill points and melee damage and skilled.
Tag steal, unarmed and FA.

This is my first thief so I just wanted to ask some recommandations

Also, do I need 300 in steal for it to be effective, or I can stop around 250?

man thief is simply usless build now, you can steal just some nukas in SF, nothing realy worth leveling, only purpose for thief is trolling ncr these days... Are you sure you wana level up such usles character?

I thought I could steal bos or enclave.
if there is just nukas to stil, its pointless

stealing bos and enclave was nerfed, you can only craft/buy MFC, SS and 5mm ap

Ok, so I have 6 useless thieves, one semi-useless (ok, he can still sneak!) SD sneaker, useless pistolero (not that it is a consequence of nerfing, it was shit from beginning and still is), useless sniper (from times when rbte had almost no effect and snipers were not underpowered). From a wider perspective, damage aimers are kinda useless (ever seen a successful rambo sniper?) those who tried to kill 286 hp stonewall or man of steel beast with their sniper will agree, which means that I have a lot more useless builds which is... not so good.

he can do quite well as slaver aswell, few people here are selling all kind of stuffs, so its also buyable.

Yes Kelin, I know, and do have crafters already.
The only kind of character I didn't have was a thief.
Thought would be nice.
