Title: Random PvP ideas (split from PVP Screens and Movies)

Looks cool, good job with the safe house. Maybe we could add some real PvP arena close to NCR.
For example a battlefield between ncr and raiders, where players would be able to join any side or
just run around freely.

It would be really nice. At least you can get lots of people from areas close to NCR. We fought against 8-9 guys.

Be sure to include multiple spawn points so people cant camp spawns like in tents.

A PvP Area with 2 ''neutral'' factions, like BoS and Enclave or NCR and The Raiders.

So you can join one of this factions(without leaving your main faction) and fight against the other faction.
You don't see enemie names, just the names of players on your side. Maybe the players in your faction could be colorized blue and the enemies are red then.

Would be a nice place tohandle some PvP :-)

Perhaps hinkley with rare items?
NCR with RCA ,raiders with enviro armor or something.

Enclave with ECA and gauss rifles,BoS with BA and pulse weapons

instead making another hinkley, isnt that better to make realtime events in game?

Not sure what you mean by "realtime event". If a typical event, any GM can do it, I don't stop anyone...

Anyways, I was not thinking about Hinkley nor about any place with "free stuff".
I was thinking about a location where you come with your own things and fight for one of two sides.

What I would like, is a feature where player could fight longer with their own things (but dying would still
mean they lost something real). So I had a general idea that players would come with caps, and as long
as they have caps in inventory, they don't really die - they drop but they aren't lootable and they respawn
on the battlefield. When you kill enemy player, you get for example 50 caps from their inventory. When
their caps drop to 0, player dies for real - drops loot and gets kicked to normal respawn.

Teamkilling would work in opposite way - killed player gets 50 of your caps if the player is from your team
(so you couldn't kick anyone by teamkilling, they would only get richer). Also killing someone on respawn
would work this way. So you could win some caps by doing PvP (which is always nice I think), but all caps
would come from players.

Well, perhaps players should also get free ammo to fight (that would have to be given back if you decided
to leave the battlefield). So you would have to come with own drugs, armor, weapon (and caps to stay on
the battlefield longer) but ammo would be provided by the "armies".

Just a random thought. Give your own :)

If you don't have enough caps in stock you won't be able to partake in such 'event'; basically if you aren't rich you can't join it.

What if all players start with the same amount of caps? For example, once you get inside location you will be awarded with 200 'fake' caps (caps which can't be used to trade). When you die you drop 50 caps, so it means that you have 4 lives in total. When caps amount decrease to 0 you have 3 minutes of replication (pretty boring but it would prevent people from dying like idiots). Every time you respawn after losing all caps you will be geared with the stuff you brought by yourself at the beginning.

 And also, those caps might be used to improve your equipment. For example:
- 400 'fake' caps (if you already have 200 caps you have to kill 4 people to get such amount): 800 5mm AP
- 800 'fake' caps (same as above-mentioned but with different amount of kills): Gauss Pistol
- 1000 'fake' caps ("): BA

Once you bought one of these items, you will respawn with them in case of death.
The stuff you can get with 'fake' caps can't be moved from the location, same as Hinkley.

Give me your opinion about it.

Sounds somewhat like buying equipment in Counterstrike, which is good IMO.
You have a maximal amount of fake caps which you can spend, lose and gain back to get better equipment.

well yeah, for me it sounds like just another hinkley.
Also people can fight in places like reno and all, and if you like what you see in that screenshot, well you should just disable feature like idling timer in Reno (or maybe at some more times like Modoc for example, just for the variety of pvp), and you will have a well prepared your suggestion. It would be much better than promoting ncr noobing.

You could, you would just always risk all gear until you kill someone with caps.

I don't think something like 300-500 caps is "rich", you would have to die 6-10 time to lose it all.
How is losing all gear in New Reno every time you die any cheaper? Someone with one set of good
stuff could come and fight longer, because the player wouldn't lose it immediately if died after a few
steps, just 50 caps.

Fake caps? Meh... :P

This is the most stupid idea ever! JovankaB you are ruining this game even more! You want to make this game diablo-crafter server? You saw few noobs shooting in v15 and you want to cheat basic rule of fonline? Maby set another option : if you want to shoot someone send him invite for duel, or special pvp zones. If devs want to save this project first thing to do is "wipe and kick out jovankaB". Your next "pvp tip top update" with Have same result : current amount of players / 2

interesting idea this new PVP zone near NCR, just in my opinion full loot is actualy smthing i enjoyed, somthing what made adrenaline raise when we entered tent where 5+ guys were guarding spawn. Same as looting and securing the tent while it was necessary to relog to looter/take loot out of tent. Sometimes we were only 2 guys guarding spawn from enemies to spawn. It was like a some realy nice OP which required organization, order and proper use of builds.

Maybe others will disagree, but for me it would be enought to create and maintain just public area near NCR where players would have some diverse environment, like some public base, maybe modified trapper camp or outpost, even bunker would be nice place ;)

First of all I'm not talking aboure removing full loot, it's suggestion just for one feature that doesn't
exist now.

My idea is that in case of the battlefield, you would lose your gear, but AFTER you lost the battle,
not every single time you "die" on the battlefield. So you wouldn't have to grind 10 gear sets to PvP
for an hour with prevailing enemy. The caps would be a silly way to keep score and ensure reward
to the right people in a way that can't be exploited with alts. Although I don't know what if someone
would like to leave after 5 minutes before the battle is over. And re-supplying would be a problem (drugs)
although I guess a battle could last 30 minutes for example. Well the idea is very rough :P

Idea is fine but how about exchanging money to some other more flavour-wise item.

1) "Magical way" - each players get 5 Renow Symbol (those gained from Molerat Brain in oryginal Fallout 2) and they loss one for each death.

2) "Techno way" - each player have 5 pack of "Fury" drug, a drug that allowes to fight even after getting close to death.(after each "death" its assumed that player use one.)

Firstly bring back the ability to do TC properly... It's just funny how Idling broke TC and made many players leave the game and now some bunch of random guys are doing "PvP" through camping tents/shacks, because Idling is not working inside(no, I don't suggest introducing Idling in these zones). And now you're pulling out some weird ideas that are meant to explore what this kind of "PvP" has to offer. What about Town Control that has been the main source of fun for so many players for such a long time and is now broken by Idling?

I don't think anyone left because of idler, the number of players actually slightly increased after idler update.
Except a few forum warriors who got used to alt waves and proxy cheats there wasn't more complaints than
after any PvP change. Players left later, because English TLA appeared and they enjoy it more than 2238 as
a whole. But reducing it to idler is a nonsense, the same situation is on Requiem and Goons servers.

Players left because it's so time-consuming to do serious PvP, Idler further increased the frustration(maybe you have a point here that's not the main reason, I'm sure it had an effect though). They would gladly come back if you gave them ability to do Town Control(and PvP in the northern towns in general) comfortably like it was back in the good ol' times. IMO you should first fix "north", then introduce features to "south".

You die you have to loot yourself or take another set for pvp. This is gold rule of fonline pvp. Jov why you always have shity features who ruin scraps of pvp? You don't know how u feel when you take top stuff like gauss and you were killed, if you don't want to die go to hinkley, oh wait Ncr noobs can go there because it is to far from Ncr? So nerf looting and set pve/pvp zone. If you want small pvp go to nr. JovankaB please resign from dev position before you will force more people to leave.

And yes 40% of pvp players who left are not playing tla mk2 or other server because they don't want to start everything from noob level. You forced many players to leave, now you are pissing your pants by looking at few noobs in tent. Why you love it so much and you hated tc gangs? They didn't say "we love you jovb, give me skin?" Or "I crafted 30k 5mm ap, give me coockies" ?

That's true, still I've tried crafting MFC, and SS, and it's super easy (Farm ore from TC box or get it by yourself, and refine, - for 400 caps ore will give you like amount of 600 mfc, which is cool, and stimpacks farmed from raiders and highwaymen to craft ss)
If you can't do it, you're just simple noob who didn't learn to play and cry over forums all day.

i would not like to make another poll or smthing...iam quite active crafter now, this SS crafting is far less monotonous than stealing ever was. crafting MFC is just quite more difficut than it was with stealing, but i mass crafted 40 000 MFC since update anyway. My general opinion is that stealing wasnt ever as enjoyable as crafting might be.

That's not about quantities, steal just overpowered that, by this skill you could get easily tons of shit, and leveling up 300% stealer is just matter of 2 - 3 hours.
Trough getting 5mm aps, ss and mfc stolen, you could outbuy all shops with barter alt, thats it.

The whole thing that makes fonline interesting is open and unexpected pvp in unsafe locations, not some arena. It's just we got too many of those locations and making new ones definitely won't help.

If it's about random pvp suggestions, then I'll suggest this:
You can see from worldmap if a location has people inside. Hover mouse over it and you will receive information about how many players are inside. This will help with finding other players so that you can roleplay, trade and craft with them easier.
To help the guys inside, they will always be given information where other players spawn and where they exit. In addition they can always know how many players are on worldmap over the town by checking some menu.

The message would be relayed to their pip boy or some other screen like this: "roleplayer1996 appeared in south" or "turbololz left from east side". This will help dramatically in one key issue gameplay has had for a long time. It's the importance of spawning in right place at right time and that hinders the gameplay a lot. Actually it will turn the whole settings upside down for the favour of those who are already inside a location.

Well you are like third person who told me it was possible to steal such huge quantities in very short time, but from my personal experience i wasnt ever able to steal more than 150 ss per hour, no matter if i was using merc leader for searching encounters or not,also thats in case i was stealing SS only(not 5mm ap). Another problem was about failing stealing, which make you lost stuff on yourself and prevent you stealing from current NPC faction for 1 day. Maybe its me who is wrong, but i still dont know, how it was possible to steal such gorgeous amounts in so short time.
