Since I was new here (been playing for almost a week) and reached level 7. I have encountered different types of annoying moments on the game. But I will just share the most annoying one.
Two days ago, I was doing a courier mission about delivering a package to NCR. On my way to NCR, I encountered a man (I won't say the name) and he seems all nice and he's wearing a leather jacket, but he's unarmed, he kept on bugging me saying he wants companion. The conversation lasted about 30 minutes, so I took consideration, then when we hit an encounter, he attacked me from behind with a big gun (he burst me) and with one burst, I died.
The most annoying part is, he laughed at my dead body and robbed me.... But the most annoying part is, I forgot to give Buster the package.

My most annoying moment's in FOnline 2238 are when i see the changelog's. ;)

Begin days naturally i start my game in respawn place also end there. And why? That stupid pkers ;39(=_&@(=)=:*3*:?=aaaaaaa xD but today i khnow that they they only tich me then how to survive ;D

pretty annoying is to die due the server lag, then due the interupted connection and then due the electricity blackout, all in 15 minutes.

Haha well I just kinda posted this in another thread but I'll go into more detail here...
Just found the old factory/warehouse encounter, feeling pretty good.

Manage to take away all this stuff, and I'm still rather noob so this is pretty awesome for me. Get about 2/3 of the way to my safe house, get forced into a player encounter, get minigunned in the back twice trying to run away.
Just my luck, heh... Well, Horrheg, whoever he is, is probably laughing his ass off right now.

when i was leveling my big gun alt, and i kept getting bad luck , first my gun explodes, so i grab a new one , then i injure my arm straight away after that, then it lagged out and i got killed, then i went back to leveling and stupid critter knocked me out and got killed again , then i die of poisen on world map, by this stage i switched my computer off and was actually thinking weather to throw it out my window , or use a hammer to break it lol

Getting caught in Merc/Press gang encs, where it is nearly impossible to escape with the damn battle timeouts...

Finesse.
And looking away for a few seconds on WM while traveling, then coming back in time to be fried by fire geckos. With 15-20 plasmas on me.

My most annoying moment in FOnline is when a GM removed a Veribird which was obtained without bug exploit by a player, and gave him a cookie like a good dog.

I would say suffering disconnexion while facing ants or other crappy critter. (not to mention the client refusing me to log back, because "player already ingame". Same shit facing 3d model that almost crash the game. The idea is cool but the implementation on fonline 2238 is not functionnal.
About playerbase, it never stop to surprise me, in the lower behavior.
About the vertibird stuff, this is kinda sad story. Why bother leaving an functionnal vertibird, if it's just for trolling the playerbase ? If Jovanka hadn't put so much work improving my brahmin shit cleaning operations, (and other stuff that we don't thank or remember enough) i would be even harsher with her/him. I hope she/he will give that player a better reward, for an achievement that was possible and challenging every other cessions.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of this shit. There has been a working verti as long as that map has existed. It is usually deleted just after a wipe, but the patch 16/03/2013 fixed some shit in Navarro, and because of that, one has to 'refresh/restart' the map to apply the changes. Now, you may ask, why wasn't the verti deleted this time? Why did you have to 'troll' the playerbase? Well, who gives a fuck (well, it's clear that the so called playerbase does.)? Stuff like this does happen. If a slight flaw like this makes the playerbase tick, then, do I even dare to do a comeback, for I'm known to fuck shit up.

What if Jovanka didn't take the verti out of the game and the poor player had got himself stuck in the middle of the ocean within the flying coffin made of bits of iron and steel? I wouldn't like to see a thread 'bout it. Where am I going with this? No idea. Just cut off that shit already.

When I'm about to wipe out a 6 man unity patrol but one laser mutie has 18 HP while I have 40 HP
and he ends up doing a critical to my face and I die

When base is full of cars and I'm in hurry. Otherwise this game is never annoying.

1. When you have more gear and cars lying around in random bases than in the lockers/carpets where they are supposed to be.
2. When I'm organizing a caravan, in need of just one more guard, and 9 people show up the second I hire the last guard.

Well if u dont count running in and out of encounters looking for lockers as a viable activity.

logging on this game, looking for players for 1 hour or more and not finding shit even though the player counter was showing 130 players online. that player counter is rigged.

The most annoing thing is waiting for a big changelog and a WIPE, to start playing again. Even a tiny CL will do.

its not annoying, but i am just sad everybody used to cry about SS nerf. But nobody tried to even craft them... Now when Jovanka left we will have less crap updates, but even significantly less updates at all. This might be actualy reason why server would might die. Players will keep whinning no matter what is made or not. Its behaviour of the playerbase, iam not sure if its even playerbase becouse most of these guys left the game but keep whining on forums.

I'm sad when I see what was made out of once a very successful fonline faction mod. As long as old devs were working on the project and the game was wiped few times per year, it was still moving forward somehow (not that all changes were perfect). I've seen many (and I mean it: indeed a big number of people) players quitting despite their interest in the game and devs not giving a slightest shit about it. I've seen those remaining who played this game no matter what, leaving 2238 in last weeks. I don't even have to enter the game to see it, what I see on teamspeak server is enough for me. And what I see there? Much less people than it used to be there, and NO ONE playing 2238. Those that still play fonline are playing tla mk2 or requiem.
Fixes are always welcome, but so-called "SS nerf" is one of the things that should come along with a server wipe. If jovanka leaves, then she could at least take her idler/predator bullshit and few others with her.
What this server lacks is a vision of what it should be and what is it going to be. Maybe there was a vision in 2009 or even in 2010, but certainly not later. I guess it was supposed to be a faction mod, but after 2010 hardly anything was made for factions. Even tla mk2 (which has it's big flaws) has a system allowing to manage faction that is light years before 2238, also automated namecolorizing, small icons for faction members. Geez, there is not even any schedule for wipes while it's pretty clear they should happen at least few times per year, so what the fuck did you expect?
The show of arrogance has it's limits. You were acting like players were your enemies, now deal with an empty server.

Hear my voice of reason : Wiping is the only measure that could increase the online. No wipe really killed the joy for me as for now.

This is so well put. The devs for 2238 have and always will continue to believe that they are infallible and that any complaint is due to player incompetence. They hold themselves so highly that when THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY complains about something (wipes) the devs just look down their noses at the forums as if it is a playpen full of crying babies. When in actuality the players know what the fuck they are talking about. When the majority of the player base is better at the game than the dev team, you have problems.
What you've said here, Kilgore, is spot on. I also, like anyone with common sense, have moved to TLA mk2. What are you're character names? I will make sure to not shoot them on sight :)

TOtally agree, SS is now so easy to craft, i have now really more that i need.. Anyone here have a lot of caps and can buy bio med gel , xander root and flower is so easy to gathering. So Stimpack is very easy to craft, and SS too because we can now find a lot of chems and biomed gel is available to the doc.
People dont really cry because SS-nerf, but just because people on fonline is never happy.

I would really appreciated game, made by gamers for gamers. But till now its just created by slavers for slaves, full of boredom and poor fun (hard to reach). Enjoy your server, we have already own.
